Olivia Colman’s big ‘Broadchurch’ secret… | The Graham Norton Show – BBC
Olivia of course you in Broad Church another big detective show uh which you haven’t seen but I I haven’t seen But I looked on all my notes on my phone and it says broad Church broad Church broad Church like at least 400 people have
Said to me you need to see it so I keep writing it on my phone but I haven’t seen it that’s okay yeah am I right in thinking you were the only person on Broad Church who knew who did it yes how did they make that
Mistake that was a whoops so um I went for the first meeting uh I’d read it read the first episode I went to meet the producers and they said what do you think I went I love it and I said please who did it and then they told me oh and
I cried and they went that’s exactly what we want yeah and then uh before I’d even got home sort of a 20 minute Journey back I got so many messages going we we up we shouldn’t have told you you please don’t tell anyone we think we’re going to do it as you know
With none of the actors knowing not even the person who did it knowing okay and I thought that I could maybe do it with but then the whole nation went a bit they loved it and everyone I had to stop going on the bus and everything
Yeah just you know you want to tell everybody and did the actor who had done it did they know not until I think the last o that’s tricky School Run’s going to be a one

I love how the Brits do that a lot for their series… Like in some whodunnits like broadchurch they don't even tell the cast and give them like one or two episodes each time… So you COULD be playing the killer but you just don't know… Also everyone on set theorising like crazy… Brilliant stuff
What are you waiting for Jodie?
Why that thumbnail?! WHY?!
Thumbnail….
Fun fact: When David Tennant approaches the killer in the shed, he too didn't know. The director told him whoever is in the shed, is the killer. So his reaction is completely genuine.
Broadchurch was excellent! Highly recommended!
Ms Coleman's acting in this series was Superb! Yes, with a capital "S."
This is the first thing I saw Olivia Colman do…and oh my goodness! Its still my favorite performance by any actress in any season of any show ever. I have since looked for as much stuff of hers as possible and she is brilliant in everything. Best actress going today, IMO.
She is a great actor
Politics is another matter
I actually think it wasn't such a good idea to not tell the actor who played the killer. I feel like he would've played better in the scenes leading up to the finale.
Who did it? I watched the show on pbs and I never saw the ending of who did it. I thought It was Olivia's husband who did it.
Omg such a great show! I just finished re-watching it for about the hundredth time lol
I wondered why her husband Joe was found not guilty and allowed to be freed if he had killed his neighbors son? I do love British shows too and that was way before I visited England in 1971 and 1973.
Her accent in Broadchurch was all over the place, it was terrible!
That was good show!!!
