Queen Camilla embraces ‘slow fashion’ with old recycled clothes at Cheltenham

Oh good very good for particularly special today because it’s style Wednesday and it’s a bit different this year it’s fast horses slow fashion is about celebrating Timeless fashion which is a great initiative I think it’s a great idea you know everyone’s much more

The Queen embraced Cheltenham’s new “slow fashion” Ladies Day on Wednesday, choosing a hat, shirt and skirt she had previously worn in public.

Festival organisers have rebranded the former Ladies Day – the second day of horse racing’s biggest event – as Style Wednesday and encouraged racegoers to wear second-hand or previously-worn clothes.

The Queen appeared to give the new image her approval with her own fashion choices, and the Princess Royal and Princess Eugenie were also dressed in previously seen clothes.

Camilla also wore a century-old diamond, ruby and sapphire horseshoe brooch, and was photographed celebrating in the royal box after an apparent win.
