  1. Even though her family was wealthy in Kosovo (her grandfather was also a historian) they fled and claimed asylum in the UK. Her parents worked in the hospitality (waiter and restaurant) sector and retrained. Her family was living in a council home in London. Once Kosovo became less dangerous they went back to Kosovo. Her mother was a lawyer there and her father a dentist. But when they were in London they were working to make ends meet.
