Alexei Navalny’s allies have alleged that Vladimir Putin had him killed to sabotage a prisoner swap in which the opposition leader would have been exchanged for a hitman jailed in Germany.

Maria Pevchikh, a close ally of Navalny’s, said in a video that he and two US nationals were to be exchanged for Vadim Krasikov, an FSB security service agent serving a life sentence for the assassination of a Chechen separatist in Berlin.

  16. So… Putin wants Vadim Krasikov to be released to Russia. Putin arranges a swap: Navalny for Krasikov. Putin kills Navalny so that Krasikov will not be released to Russia… Western logic!
    Meanwhile, 3-4 weeks ago, Maia Sandu (Moldavian president) gave the go-ahead for the Transnistrian issue to be resolved by the Ukrainian armed forces.
    Yesterday, Romania media said that the country’s authorities “gave the go-ahead” for the military takeover of Transnistria by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
    Transdnistria currently has 2500 – 3000 Russian contingent stationed there.

  20. If there were ongoing negotiations about a swap, those talks would have had to be with the full knowledge and blessing of Moscow, and then it makes no sense at all that Putin would have been behind the guy's death.

  23. Putin's much greed for power and wealth has exceeded the limits of humanity. He killed Navalny and others to stay in power. The war conflict in Ukraine also has been more than two years so why the world leaders did not stop him until now ?
