King Charles Creature Comforts: A Heartfelt Journey Through the Years

King Charles affection for animals and his love of nature has been a hallmark of his time as a member of the Royal family. From growing up surrounded by Queen Elizabeth II’s corgis, to spending his childhood summer’s in Balmoral with his sister Princess Anne playing with their ponies William and Greensleeves, the King has never shied away from an animal encounter or two. His love of horses naturally led him towards becoming a highly regarded polo player in this younger years, even if it did result in him famously injuring himself.

The King’s affection for animals is shared by his wife, Queen Camilla, who has joined him around the world visiting animals in places such as, Bordeaux, Cairo and the Galápagos Islands. King Charles and Queen Camilla are often at their happiest when surrounded by animals in their natural habitat.

Today, the King and Queen now own two Jack Russell Terriers called Beth and Bluebell.

  2. I think The King should relax he is a good watercolorist. Maybe he should write some charming little books like Beatrice Potter. Ones on his encounters with animals around the world. A nice hobby.

  22. Weak and lazy men make weak and lazy kings and Charles is the greatest example of a lazy weak insecure man/king that will ever live on GOD'S Earth. William is a carbon copy of his father.

    Thank Goodness most people do not honor nor worship earthly kings.. Princess of the people forever, Princess Diana more royal than all monarchs. RIP our angel 😇. One day, GOD ALMIGHTY will reveal who killed you.

  39. One of the reasons why I admire King Charles – his environmental beliefs and actions. He has been blessed to be able to travel to the destinations around the world and see the animals in their natural habitats and bring awareness to us all of their need too. Long live the king!
