Six killed as man goes on ‘rampage’ with knife in Sydney shopping centre

It began as a quiet afternoon of shopping. It ended with six people dead, plus the attacker.

Police say the man who went on the rampage in a Sydney shopping centre was known to them, but they do not believe the attack was terror-related.

Among his victims – a baby who underwent surgery, and her mother, who’s reported to have died from her injuries.

  1. Lol the libs of Australia wanted this type of multiculture and diversity and guess what you got it! Those who are against this trash in the US must be on to something.. It blows my mind that white Christians in the US have more sense than the rest of the world… GIVE THE PEOPLE BACK THEIR GUNS!

  2. You mean the hairy muslim guy carrying the knive??? Like the same Muslim who stabbed the Bishop today??? After threaning he has 2 weeks to live by other Muslims? YOU TUBE WILL ERASE MY TRUTHFUL COMMENT.EVEN THOUGH WE ALL SAW IT ON VIDEO WHILE HE WAS STABBING THE BISHOP.

  3. Condolences to the families of the victims. With the benefit of hindsight, I sincerely hope that lessons will be learned this time and mental health procedures will be reviewed thoroughly and vigorously to ensure that this doesn't occur again on Australian soil. Prayers, vigils, resolve, oasis songs and meaningful dialogue not the usual lip service given by opportunistic career politicians or useless Mayors

  4. Didn’t they ban knives from public carry down there as well. This is really terrible and sad. what are we going to do about all these assault knives?

  5. God Bless Inspector Amy Scott, she is a National Hero. God Bless the man who saved the baby. Peace & Comfort to the victims' families. We Love You, Australia – The World 🙏💓

  6. The killer walked away from the guy with arms open (I guess tried to protect his family) I don't think he's insane, he knows what he was doing. Which kind of animal attacks only woman and children.

  7. The plot thickens : the Cauchi family were members of a weird Christian sect. The old Dad collected pidgeons and had over 700 in aviaries in backyard. The neighbours were complaining and Joel was to go back home to Toowoomba yesterday and help get rid of them and clean up. No wonder he cracked.

  8. Definitely the fault of Westfield for so many reasons –
This crim has a knife not a gun – and 11 people stabbed – and this wud have taken at least more then 10min to 40min or more and if an incident happens and and there is no response within 15 seconds from securely guards where the shopping is full of cameras is a failure and they need to compensate –
Unfortunately Westfield’s tries to save money by bringing more camera and result is this , and not only this but one shop who had no idea who was stabbed and it is recorded by a camera man – he could have been informed by the shopping info centre louder speaker to close his shop and stay inside for safety – but rather they did not say anything – also u can see security guard having a chair in his hands , shows proper weapons were not in place to protect lives – each second of delay or miscalculation or not responding although the man can be seen by every camera that he was on a killing spree is a serious negligence by Westfield shopping centre..
they even went as far as to stop most media comments were not allowed to be made .. this is how rich controls outcomes of crimes .. we will also see Westfield’s will hire 10 more security guards for few weeks so they can show that they are professional in securing human lives …

  9. This was traumatizing. i was at the sydney westfeild when this occured. its broke my heart the fact i was there alone and had no family in sydney as i was on holiday im 18. i was walking through the shopping centre where i was met with the killer, the fright on my eyes when i seen that knife was chased but thanks to a random stranger that saved my life risking his im hoping the guy that saved is still alive. it broke me watching ash and her baby being stabbed the fact she trusted strangers and worried abt her baby first is heroic. ppl say this world is good place but bondi stabbing the other day, the machete fight in melbourne shopping centre today, the bishop who was stabbed this has all occured in less the one week all in australia. i come from SA but im currently staying in a hotel. This world is not good you cant even walk through a shopping centre without fear as their has been a stabbing in melbourne shopping centre and bondi junction, going out in public should be fun not having the fear of being murdered. Heart goes out to the people who have lost theirs or someone elses life. what is going on with australia we are turning into america but worse xx

  10. Hundreds running away from one murderer. A comment on today's society, where people think that the government will protect them, and if they get the murderer, the government will prosecute them.

  11. Double Standards,
Not Terror Attack kills 5 people successfully “Mental Health”
Also the shopping centre security guard was not called a hero for giving his life for defending those people
