1,371 cases were reported in 2023

well the Russian invasion of Ukraine has
Unleashed a wave of innovation on the
battlefield well both sides St drive to
protect their tanks from deadly threats
and our next report tells you how amidst
exploding drones and Relentless assaults
Moscow has unwi a peculiar yet effective
solution the turtle tank take a look at
this
one tanks have been a mean stay of
warfare for over a century Russia too
sent Columns of these heavy war machines
in the initial weeks of its invasion of
Ukraine but these iron beasts found
themselves vulnerable using Gorilla
tactics ukrainians pinned them down
making the Russian tanks vulnerable to
drone attacks but ever since Moscow has
learned strategic lessons and is using
the same tactic on ukrainians forcing
them to remove Abraham’s M1 A1 battle
tanks after they were being repeatedly
blown up on the other hand Russian
forces have added extra armor to their
tanks these vehicles are covered in
metal armor on all sides except the
front where the main gun protrudes
resembling the head of a turtle poking
out of its shell this strange design is
a direct adaptation to the specific
challenges posed by Ukraine’s increasing
use of small explosive Laden drones
against Russian armor the turtle tanks
have been spotted in various locations
along the front lines including the
battles around chavar a critical
Ukrainian heal town west of bahmut as
the ukrainians increasingly turned to
small drones packed with explosives to
Target Russian Vehicles these new
defensive structures have become un
necessary adaptation on the ever
evolving front
lines we have to improvise with what we
have if we don’t have artillery support
because they don’t have shells we have
to find other ways to destroy the enemy
and drones work like nothing else at
least we can get them from
somewhere as the Ukrainian forces wait
for weapon deliveries from the West
Russian forces continue to attack this
is the moment when a number of missiles
rain down in Ukraine’s

missile debris that landed in Ukrainian
city of harv on January 2nd was from a
North Korean ballistic missile that’s
according to a report from United
Nations sanctions monitors to a security
Council committee and seen by Reuters on
Monday this footage is from days after
the January strike at the time the local
prosecutor’s office showed fragments of
the missile to the media suggesting they
could have been from one supplied by
North Korea in the report the monitors
concluded that the debris was from a
hang 11 series missile and is in
violation of the arms embargo on North
Korea it’s been under un sanction since
2006 over its ballistic missile and
nuclear programs in their report the
monitors say they quote could not
independently identify from where the
missile was launched nor by whom
information about the missile’s
trajectory supplied by Ukraine suggests
it was launched from Russia the report
says Russia and the dprk must be held
accountable for their actions the US and
others have previously accused North
Korea of transferring weapons to Russia
to use against Ukraine which had invaded
over two years ago both have denied the
accusations last year they vowed to

Russia’s fullscale Invasion Ukraine’s
mobilization effort is struggling amid
flagging enthusiasm however a 68 old
Ukrainian Commander who’s in the thick
of the war refuses to let any challenge
come his way more in our next report
take a
look Alexander teran’s mobile artillery
unit isn’t officially part of Ukraine’s
military but that hasn’t stopped his men
from destroying Russian
targets we get by thanks to the pension
fund says the 68-year-old commander
whose call sign is Grandpa the all
volunteer unit called the step wolves is
compromised of dozens of Ukrainian men
mostly over 60 years old who are
considered too old to be drafted but
still want to fight for their
country the unit also includes younger
men who have been ruled unfit to fight
roving Behind Enemy Lines with truck
mounted rocket launchers they take
orders from field commanders and work
with other troops despite lacking
official support from the military the
unit is funded by donations and is
stocked with faulty rounds they repair
themselves as well as Weapons captured
from the enemy so so far efforts to
officially integrate into the military
have been unsuccessful Teran said during
a recent visit by Reuters to their base
in the southeastern zapia region they
were seen preparing rocket rounds later
fired by troops from another unit this
63-year-old volunteer fighter goes by
the call sign
Zoro the commanders that provide us with
targets are happy they give us more
targets and help us with ammunition
however they can we move out and help
them Ukraine mobilization effort is
struggling amid flagging enthusiasm more
than two years into Russia’s full-scale
Invasion with Russian troops making
progress in the East analysts say
Ukraine’s shortage of Manpower needs to
be addressed earlier this month
Ukrainian President Vladimir zalinski
approved new measures allowing the
military to call up more troops and
strengthen penalties for evasion he also
reduced the mobilization age from 27 to
25 Tran who has been fighting since 2014
said coercion would be unlikely to beat
genuine enthusiasm from a potential
recruit beat him with a stick if you
want but he won’t fight he says in the
United States has procured 81 outdated
Soviet era combat aircrafts from
kazakistan the purpose behind the US
acquisition remains undisclosed but
there is speculation that these
aircrafts will be potentially deployed
in Ukraine where similar jets are still
in service there are reports which
indicate that the Armed Forces of
Ukraine May assemble uh them for spare
parts or even use the obsolete air
frames as decoys at
airfields now as part of the process
back in October it was announced that
the kazak government was offering 117
Soviet era fighter and bomber aircrafts
for sale by auction this included the MC
31 interceptors the mc27 fighter bombers
the MC 29 among others produced in the
1970s and 8s
the declared value of the sale was 1
billion um and which is about $1.7
million averaging
19,300 per aircraft now further among
the aircraft acquired the mikoyan mc31
known as a supersonic Interceptor
crucial for defending Soviet airspace
during the Cold War stands out the Mig
27 derived from the M23 served as a
ground attack aircraft while the mc29
Excel in air-to-air combat and remains
operational in some air
forces the Z24 or the suco 24 and all
weather tactical bomber despite its age
continues to serve in various Air Forces
including the Russian Aerospace forces
and Ukrainian Air Force historically
kazakistan has maintained strong ties
with Russia its former Soviet Ally
however geopolitical shifts particularly
since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has
seen kazakistan aligning more closely
with Western Nations drawing criticism
from some quarters in
Russia so as kazakistan upgrades its
military capabilities of growing
engagement with Western
Nations signals a departure from its
historical ties with Moscow the US
Secretary of uh State Anthony Lincoln’s
visit to kazakistan in March 2023
underscored United States support for
its independence and territorial
integrity Russia is wand of freezing us
Assets in the country including property
and cash of US citizens and investors
and this comes a senior Russian
officials voice strong opposition to the
bill allowing the confiscation of
Russian assets the Kremlin deems such
actions illegal and WS of retaliation
should the United States proceed however
legal experts continue to debate the
legitimacy of such measur setting the
stage for a complex diplomatic and legal
standoff

a closer look at the Frozen Russian
assets reveals a substantial sum
totaling almost $300 billion primarily
held in foreign currencies of the West
reuter’s calculations reveal that a
substantial amount of money is held in
European union and US assets along with
other countries the total amount of
foreign currency and gold reserves total
$112 billion while legally Frozen EU has
begun utilizing the interest generated
from these Holdings arguing for its
legality and necessity in supporting
Ukrainian interests however the
utilization and potential seizure of
these assets POS significant risk to the
Global Financial landscape the standoff
threatens to set a precedent for the
weaponization of financial assets and
diplomatic conflicts critics warn of
potential economic Fallout including
destabilization of the US dollar as the
the world’s dominant currency moreover
concerns arise over the unintended
consequences of such actions including
retaliation from other nations and the
potential breakdown of international
legal Norms as diplomatic efforts
continue the world watches closely aware
of the far-reaching implications of this
financial
standoff an ex- German Soldier has
admitted to spying for Russia during a
trial the soldier claims that he wished
to avoid escalation in the ongoing
Russia Ukraine war during his trial the
former German Soldier admitted that what
he did was wrong the 54-year-old has
been accused of passing information to
Russian intelligence service this
included the information like documents
related to munition systems and aircraft
technology the former German Soldier
obtained these documents while working
in the German Army’s equipment
information technology and inservice
support department according to
prosecutors Thomas approached the
Russian General Consulate in born and
the Russian Embassy in Berlin and
offered his cooperation in May
2023 he says he was worried about
Germany being dragged into the war
through delivery of weapons to Ukraine
the German soldiers aim was to obtain
information before a possible nuclear
escalation to keep his family safe he
believed the German government wasn’t
looking at out for the security of its
citizens hearings in Thomas’s case are
said to last until late June but this is
not a lone case this month investigators
arrested two German Russian men on
suspension of spying for Russia and
planning attacks in Germany a former
German intelligence officer is also on
trial in Berlin for spying in November
20122 a German Army Reserve officer was
handed a suspended sentence for passing
information to Russian intelligence
German Chancellor Charles has clearly
said that we can never accept that
Espionage activities take place in the
country as for the United Nations
sanctions monitors the debris from a
missile that landed in the Ukrainian
city of karv on the 2nd of January well
that debris belonged to a North Korean
Hong 11 series ballistic missile now as
for Russian State media the report
cannot be considered an expert report
it’s not conclusive is Russia using
North Korean missiles in Ukraine well to
discuss this we are being joined by
Glenn dies who’s a professor of
international relations University of
Southeastern Norway Glenn always a
pleasure speaking with you now uh
Reuters is quoting its sources and so is
Russian State media Reuters says that
you know it did belong that their
sources suggest and they confirm that
the UN sanctions monitors have said that
the missile the debris it belonged to a
North Korean missile Russian State media
says their sources in the UN have told
them that it’s not a conclusive report
if we just look at it on the basis of
diplomatic ties we all understand Russia
and North Korea have those uh military
tie-ups do you feel pongyang is
providing missiles to Russia which it’s
using in
Ukraine well I know the Russian media
has contested it and uh obviously I
don’t have the technical expertise to
assess if this is from North Korea and
it’s of of course also difficult to cut
through the fog of War but that being
said I think it’s very likely that
Russia has been sourcing weapons from
North Korea then especially artillery
shells and missiles as well North Korea
is a very militarized country with huge
stock piles it shares a border with
Russia it has friendly relations with
Russia so I guess yeah why would Russia
not Source missiles and shells from
North Korea um as well NATO sending
weapons to Ukraine and it also attempts
to buy all available weapons around the
world so I think Russia is similarly
sourcing weapon so um uh I I think it’s
uh credible uh although I would like of
course like you to see conclusive
evidence uh again now given the kind of
tie-ups they have it seems likely that
Russia would be using it but if we were
to now just take that as a given that
yes Russia did use North Korean missiles
what does it say about Russia’s war
effort at the because now Russia you
know it always comes across as this
military power and it is one but the
fact that it’s having to rely on a a
much smaller neighbor compared to its
own state which is North Korea and it’s
having to use North Korean missiles is
there some kind of a dir of weapons that
Russia is perhaps suffering from at the
moment I understand and there are enough
reports to suggest that Russia’s defense
manufacturing has really boomed over the
course of these last two years plus
since their invasion of Ukraine but why
would they have to use North Korean
missiles even if they
are well I think even NATO admits that
Russia is out producing uh all of the
NATO countries combined now so there’s
nothing wrong with their production
however this has been a very intensive
uh War for more than two years now so
obviously getting additional supplies uh
to what extent they rely on them or if
it’s just additional uh I I wouldn’t be
in a position to say uh but also why why
wouldn’t they get from North Korea again
this is uh a neighboring country they
have a lot of weapons uh certainly I
assume if if NATO could access North
Korean shells uh NATO would probably
want to get their hands on them as well
so it’s
um it’s a heavily militarized country
but in this instance it’s a positive
thing for Russia if you want to go out
and buy weapons uh so and again the
shared border also uh is not um yeah is
obviously an advantage as well in terms
of uh yeah sourcing weapons uh Glenn
now there is never just a give it’s
never just a take there’s always a give
and a take when it comes to Russia and
North Korea what’s the give and take
relationship there if Russia is sourcing
those missiles from North Korea what
does North Korea get from Russia I’ll
just like to you know take a recap here
uh a few months ago it was last year
when we saw North Korean leader Kim
Jong-un make his way VIA his train his
armored train to the wasni uh Cosmo
Drome and soon after that I think within
months after that we saw North Korea
finally releasing and the launch of a
the successful launch of a North Korean
satellite after which North Korea shared
the photograph of the White House from
the satellite that they had just
launched now is that what North Korea
gains from Russia what’s the give and
take
there well this doesn’t happen in the
open so it would of course be
speculations but uh i’ what I have what
I’m assuming or at least what I believe
is that uh in the weapons sphere it
appears that Russia is supplying North
Korea with more advanced weapons
Technologies uh satellite Technologies
meanwhile North Korea has a vast amount
of artillery shells and missiles which
it can ship to Russia so there there is
a a weapons trade going on here at least
that’s what ie I can’t prove any of this
but this is what appears to be the case
as um but but this also of course
stretched into other areas of the
economy as well as uh the Russians and
North Koreans have been increasing or
working to increase their trade for
quite a few years now if I were to just
shift the focus of uh uh the western
side towards the Eastern side was North
Korea’s side if North Korea has its
missiles in or rather if Russia has
North Korean missiles in its Arsenal
which are being fired into Ukraine we
all understand North Korea had its
military posturing given South Korea and
US military drills at North Korea’s
doorstep is Russia a silent partner
standing behind North Korea without
announcing it if there is any kind of a
conflict which erupts which things have
been on a boil between North Korea and
South
Korea well I think Russia attempts to
avoid ending up in blocks that is
alliances that is we the same in Middle
East it would like to get closer to Iran
but also it wants to get closer to Saudi
Arabia and other Gulf States so you know
it wants to be closer with China but it
also doesn’t want to alienate India so
it avoids this block system which the
Americans well in the NATO has promoted
very strongly after the Cold War and I
think the same applies to the Korean
Peninsula uh Russia has worked very hard
to develop closer relationship with both
North and South Korea indeed what we saw
in the ’90s when Russia began to
distance itself from North Korea it was
actually cut out from a lot of the
Diplomatic arrangements with South Korea
simply because it lost influence in
North Korea so uh Russia has its new
diplomatic approach around the world now
entails establishing good relations
effectively with both sides so I I I I
think it would be very incorrect to
suggest that Russia’s well is engaging
in a military uh block or Alliance or
campaign against South Korea because
because uh developing good economic
relations with South Korea has been a
key priority for for Russia but of
course in uh against as Russia’s now
fighting this proxy war with nato in
Ukraine it will of course accept any
partnership it has now with North Korea
even though it’s a small country it has
huge amounts of weapons so it makes it
an interesting partner uh NATO boss
visited Ukraine just recently and uh
promises more weapons in the coming days
now if NATO is promising those weapons
to Ukraine and it has us already has the
security Aid bill which has been now
signed into law now do you feel Russia
would also be reaching out more actively
towards its Partners or at least its
friendlies when it comes to the weapons
that it need to use in to continue the
the war effort because it’s in the open
that Iranian drones have been used by
Russia uh We’ve now seen reports of the
Hong 11 ballistic missile be found in
Ukraine do you feel Russia could perhaps
also be reaching out to China since more
NATO nations would be coming out in
support of
Ukraine uh yeah because this is a very
high intens intense War there’s a huge
amount of Weaponry being used and now
over a long period of time uh but is
also the kind of weapons which are
important I think the it’s mostly
artillery shells it’s drones and his
missiles these are the main weapons that
the the Russians are now seeking and
using now in terms of NATO I think the
key problem if even though they’re
signing more money they’re low on
ammunition and also Ukraine is low on
manow and it’s for this reason we see
that NATO and Ukraine are losing this
war against Russia now obviously more
weapons will be sent but I think it’s
also worth focusing on the type of
weapons NATO sending because now it’s
sending more long range missiles and
Washington has also greenlighted
striking deep inside Russian territory
now this is obviously to hit
accumulation of soldiers weapon Depot
logistic centers vital
infrastructure uh but uh but of course
this is the risk that uh this thin line
between a proxy war and a direct war is
slowly being erased so uh I think this
is what Russia will now also seek to
counter so uh but uh this would probably
result in an escalation in terms of the
war intensifying even further so
probably uh Russia opening a new front
uh in the north along kov and Sumi and
if this is the case they will also
require much more weapons as they have a
huge Army built up in the rear which is
preparing to enter the war now in a huge
offensive indeed because the as you
mentioned correctly and I agree with
that is what I’m saying that the the
thin line between being a proxy war and
a real war real war in the sense a face
tof face allout front War those lines
are getting blurred very very fast as
things are escalating well into the
third year of the war now and uh us
elections are around the corner and I
even spoke earlier with a former member
of parliament of former member of
Russian Parliament and he mentioned that
Russia doesn’t need more land it it has
enough land of its own they just don’t
want us forces at its border and Ukraine
is where US forces can enforce their
military might against Russia it won’t
happen throughout the other NATO borders
because there are there are uh
democracies of their own and they will
not be willing to attack Russia like a
country like Finland but Ukraine that’s
on Shake ground and that’s where Russia
stands on that so this definitely seems
like a war which is continuing and we
are seeing the third year of it playing
out in front of us uh we will be keeping
in touch as the developments come in
that was Glenn dies joining us he’s a
professor of international relations
University of Southeastern Norway always
a pleasure speaking with you Glenn thank
you
Shivan Skies over the Baltic regions are

helps the pilot to navigate during the

Moscow has uned a peculiar yet effective
solution the turtle tank take a look at
this
one tanks have been a mean stay of
warfare for over a century Russia to
sent Columns of these heavy war machines
in the initial weeks of its invasion of
Ukraine but these iron beasts found
themselves vulnerable using Gorilla
tactics ukrainians pinned them down
making the Russian tanks vulnerable to
drone attacks but ever since Moscow has
learned strategic lessons and is using
the same tactic on ukrainians forcing
them to remove Abraham’s M1 A1 battle
tanks after they were being repeatedly
blown up on the other hand Russian
forces have added extra armor to their
tanks these vehicles are covered in
metal armor on all sides except the
front where the main gun protrudes
resembling the head of a turtle poking
out of its shell this strange design is
a direct adaptation to the specific
challenges posed by Ukraine’s increasing
use of small explosive Laden drones
against Russian armor the turtle tanks
have been spotted in various locations
along the front lines including the
fierce battles around chavar a critical
Ukrainian held town west of bahmut as
the ukrainians increasingly turn to
small drones packed with explosives to
Target Russian Vehicles these new
defensive structures have become a
necessary adaptation on the ever
evolving front
lines we have to improvise with what we
have if we don’t have artillery support
because the don’t have shells we have to
find other ways to destroy the enemy and
drones work like nothing else at least
we can get them from
somewhere as the Ukrainian forces wait
for weapon deliveries from the West
Russian forces continue to attack this
is the moment when a number of missiles
rain down in Ukraine’s
Odessa the missile attack on an
educational institution in a popular
seafront Park the building called the
the Harry Potter Castle because of its
gothic style was seriously hit in the
attack bu report vion world is
one as the authorities assess which type
of missile hit the building in an
exclusive report by reuter the UN
sanctions monitors have said that the
debris from a missile that landed in the
Ukrainian city of kar on January 2nd has
been identified from a North Korean Wong
11 series ballistic
our report has the complete story take a
look missile debris that landed in
Ukrainian city of harv on January 2nd
was from a North Korean ballistic
missile that’s according to a report
from United Nations sanctions monitors
to a security Council committee and seen
by Reuters on
Monday this footage is from days after
the January strike at the time the local
prosecutor’s office showed fragments of
the missile to the media
suggesting they could have been from one
supplied by North Korea in the report
the monitors concluded that the debris
was from a hang 11 series missile and is
in violation of the arms embargo on
North
Korea it’s been under un sanction since
2006 over its ballistic missile and
nuclear programs in their report the
monitors say they quote could not
independently identify from where the
missile was launched nor by whom
information about the missile’s
trajectory supplied by Ukraine suggests
it was launched from Russia the report
says Russ and the DPR
must the US and others have previously
accused North Korea of transferring
weapons to Russia to use against Ukraine
which had invaded over two years ago
both have denied the
accusations last year they vowed to
deepen military

various countries captured during the
ongoing War the exhibition will take
place in Victory Park and has been
described as a celebration of Russia
success against Ukraine and their allies
according to reports this exhibition
will be organized into thematic zones
with informative stamps providing
context and details about each equipment
according to reports the exhibition will
showcase Weaponry from 12 different

in The crucial donbas region the warm

the ominous
warning if Putin prevails in Ukraine the
security consequences would be grave and
Global Europe would face a security
threat that it hasn’t seen in our

succeeds every Tyrant on Earth will take

Ukraine finds itself hanging by a threat

Russia is taking advantage in man power

making gains in eastern part of Ukraine
as keev awaits the arrival of much

stabilize the fragile front lines
Russia’s defense Ministry claims its
troops have captured another Village in
the dones region around 10 K say north
of aiva which is the Russians or which
the Russians seized in February Moscow
also says its troops around ones have
managed to drive deep into Ukrainian
defensive lines forcing Ukrainian troops
to retreat westwards to new defensive
lines in a section of the front that
runs past the city of dones according to
reports in the northwest of aiva Russian
brigades have come within about 30 k of
the city of poov a Ukrainian military

Russia’s fullscale Invasion Ukraine’s
mobilization effort is struggling amid
flagging
enthusiasm however a 68-year-old
Ukrainian Commander who’s in the thick
of the war refuses to let any challenge
come his way more in our next report
take a
look Alexander Tran’s mobile artillery
unit isn’t officially part of Ukraine’s
military but that hasn’t stopped his men
from destroying Russian
targets we get by thanks to the pension
fund says the 68-year-old commander
whose call sign is Grandpa the all
volunteer unit called the step wolves is
compromised of dozens of Ukrainian men
mostly over 60 years old who are
considered too old to be drafted but
still want to fight for their
country the unit also includes younger
men who have been ruled unfit to fight
roving Behind Enemy Lines with
truck-mounted rocket launchers they take
orders from field commanders and work
with other troops despite lacking
official support from the military the
unit is funded by donations and is
stocked with faulty rounds they repair
themselves as well as Weapons captured
from the enemy so far efforts to
officially integrate into the military
have been unsuccessful Teran said during
a recent visit by Reuters to their base
in the southeastern zapara region they
were seen preparing rocket rounds later
fired by troops from another unit this
63-year-old volunteer fighter goes by
the call sign
Zoro the commanders that provide us with
targets are happy they give us more
targets and help us with ammunition
however ever they can we move out and
help
them Ukraine’s mobilization effort is
struggling amid flagging enthusiasm more
than two years into Russia’s full-scale
Invasion with Russian troops making
progress in the East analysts say
Ukraine’s shortage of Manpower needs to
be addressed earlier this month
Ukrainian President Vladimir zalinski
approved new measures allowing the
military to call up more troops and
strengthen penalties for evasion he also
reduced the mobilization age from 20 27
to
25 Tran who has been fighting since 2014
said coercion would be unlikely to beat
genuine enthusiasm from a potential
recruit beat him with a stick if you
want but he won’t fight he says in the
United States has procured 81 outdated
Soviet era combat aircrafts from
kakistan the purpose behind the US
acquisition remains undisclosed but
there is speculation that these
aircrafts will be potentially deployed
in Ukraine where similar jets are still
in service there are reports which
indicate that the Armed Forces of
Ukraine May dissemble uh them for spare
parts or even use the obsolete air
frames as decoys at
airfields now as part of the process
back in October it was announced that
the kazak government was offering 117
Soviet era fighter and bomber aircrafts
for sale by auction this included the MC
31 interceptors the MC 27 fighter
bombers the mc29 among others produced
in the 1970s and
80s the declared value of the sale was 1
billion um and which is about $1.7
million averaging $1
19,300 per aircraft now further among
the aircraft acquired the mikoyan M31
known as a supersonic Interceptor
crucial for defending Soviet airspace
during the Cold War stands out the Mig
27 derived from the Mig 23 served as a
ground attack aircraft while the M 29
excelled in air-to-air combat and
remains operational in some air
forces the Su 24 or the suco 24 and all
wether tactical bomber despite its age
continues to serve in various Air Forces
including the Russian Aerospace forces
and Ukrainian Air Force historically
kazakistan has maintained strong ties
with Russia its former Soviet Ally
however geopolitical shifts particularly
since Russia Russ’s invasion of Ukraine
has seen kazakistan aligning more
closely with Western Nations drawing
criticism from some quarters in
Russia so as kazakistan upgrades its
military capabilities it’s growing
engagement with Western
Nations signals a departure from its
historical ties with Moscow the US
Secretary of uh State Anthony blink’s
visit to kazakistan in March 2023
underscored United States support for
its independence and territorial
integrity
Russia is W of freezing us Assets in the
country including property and cash of
US citizens and investors and this comes
as senior Russian officials voice strong
opposition to the bill allowing the
confiscation of Russian assets the
Kremlin deems such actions illegal and
WS of retaliation should the United
States proceed however legal experts
continue to debate the legitimacy of
such measur setting the stage for a
complex diplomatic and Le legal standoff

a closer look at the Frozen Russian

totaling almost $300 billion primarily
held in foreign currencies of the West
reuter’s calculations reveal that a
substantial amount of money is held in
European union and US assets along with
other countries the total amount of
foreign currency and gold reserves total
$612 billion while legally Frozen EU has
begun utilizing the interest generated
from these Holdings arguing for its
legality and necessity in supporting
Ukrainian interests however the
utilization and potential seizure of
these assets POS significant risk to the
Global Financial landscape the standoff
threatens to set a precedent for the
weaponization of financial assets and
diplomatic conflicts critics warn of
potential economic Fallout including
destabilization of the US dollar as the
world’s dominant currency moreover
concerns arise over the unintended
consequences of such actions including
retaliation from other nations and the
potential breakdown of international
legal Norms as diplomatic efforts

off an ex German soci has admitted to
spying for Russia during a trial the
soldier claims that he wished to avoid
escalation in the ongoing Russia Ukraine
war during his trial the former German
Soldier admitted that what he did was
wrong the 54-year-old has been accused
of passing information to Russian
intelligence service this included the
information like documents related to
munition systems and aircraft technology
the former German Soldier obtained these
documents while working in the German
Army’s equipment information technology
and inservice support department
according to prosecutors Thomas
approached the Russian General Consulate
in Bon and the Russian Embassy in Berlin
and offered his cooperation in may
20123 he says he was worried about
Germany being dragged into the war
through delivery of weapons to Ukraine
the German soldiers aim was to obtain
information before a possible nuclear
escalation to keep his family safe he
believed the German government wasn’t
looking out for the security of its
citizens hearings in Thomas’s case are
said to last until late June but this is
not a lone case this month investigators
arrested two German Russian men on
suspension of spying for Russia and
planning attacks in Germany a former
German intelligence officer is also on
trial in Berlin for spying in November
2022 a German arm Army Reserve officer
was handed a suspended sentence for
passing information to Russian
intelligence German Chancellor Charles
has clearly said that we can never
accept that Espionage activities take
place in the
country as for the United Nations
sanctions monitors the debris from a
missile that landed in the Ukrainian
city of kar on the 2nd of January well
that debris belong to a North Korean
Hong 11 series ballistic missile now as
for Russian State media the report
cannot be considered an expert report
it’s not conclusive is Russia using
North Korean missiles in Ukraine well to
discuss this we are being joined by
Glenn dies who’s a professor of
international relations University of
Southeastern Norway Glenn always a
pleasure of speaking with you now uh
Reuters is quoting its sources and so is
Russian State media reuter says that you
know it did belong that their source
suggest and they confirm that the UN
sanctions monitors have said that the
missile the debris it belonged to a
North Korean missile Russian State media
says their sources in the UN have told
them that it’s not a conclusive report
if we just look at it on the basis of
diplomatic ties we all understand Russia
and North Korea have those uh military
tie-ups do you feel Pyongyang is
providing missiles to Russia which it’s
using in
Ukraine well I know the Russian media
has contested it and uh obviously I
don’t have the technical expertise to
assess if this is from North Korea and
it’s of of course also difficult to cut
through the fog of War but that being
said I think it’s very likely that
Russia has been sourcing weapons from
North Korea then especially artillery
shells and missiles as well North Korea
is a very militarized country with huge
stock piles it shares a border with
Russia it has friendly relations with
Russia so I guess yeah why would Russia
not Source missiles and shells from nor
Korea um as well NATO sending weapons to
Ukraine and it also attempts to buy all
available weapons around the world so I
think Russia is similarly sourcing
weapon so um I I think it’s uh credible
uh although I would like of course like
you to see conclusive
evidence uh again now given the kind of
tie-ups they have it seems likely that
Russia would be using it but if we were
to now just take that as a given that
yes Russia did use North Korean Miss
Iles what does it say about Russia’s war
effort at the moment because now Russia
you know it always comes across as this
military power and it is one but the
fact that it’s having to rely on a a
much smaller neighbor compared to its
own state which is North Korea and it’s
having to use North Korean missiles is
there some kind of a dir of weapons that
Russia is perhaps suffering from at the
moment I understand and there are enough
reports to suggest that Russia’s defense
manufacturing has really boomed over the
course of these last two years plus
since their invasion of Ukraine but why
would they have to use North Korean
missiles even if they
are well I think even NATO admits that
Russia is out producing uh all of the
NATO countries combined now so there’s
nothing wrong with their production but
however this has been a very intensive
uh War for more than two years now so
obviously getting additional supplies uh
to what extent they rely on them or if
it’s just additional uh I I wouldn’t be
in a position to say uh but also why why
wouldn’t they get from North Korea again
this is a a neighboring country they
have a lot of weapons uh certainly I
assume if if NATO could access North
Korean shells uh NATO would probably
want to get their hands on them as well
so it’s
um it’s a heavily militarized country
but in this instance it’s a positive
thing for Russia if you want to go out
and buy weapons uh so and again the
shared border also uh is not um yeah is
obviously an advantage as well in terms
of uh yeah sourcing weapons uh Glen
now there is never just a give it’s
never just a take there’s always a give
and a take when it comes to Russia and
North Korea what’s the give and take
relationship there if Russia is sourcing
those missiles from North Korea what
does North Korea get from Russia I just
like to you know take a recap here uh a
few months ago it was last year when we
saw North Korean leader Kim Jong-un make
his way VIA his train his armored train
to the wasni uh Cosmo Drome and soon
after that I think within months after
that we saw North Korea finally
releasing and the launch of a the
successful launch of a North Korean
satellite after which North Korea shared
the photograph of the White House from
the satellite that they had just
launched now is that what North Korea
gains from Russ what’s the give and take
there well this doesn’t happen in the
open so it would of course be
speculations but uh I what I have what
I’m assuming or at least what I believe
is that uh in the weapon sphere it
appears that Russia is supplying North
Korea with more advanced weapons
Technologies uh satellite Technologies
meanwhile North Korea has a vast amount
of artillery shells and missiles which
it can ship to Russia so there there is
a a weapon trade going on here uh at
least that’s what I assume I can’t prove
any of this but this is what appears to
be the case uh as um uh but but this
also of course stretched into other
areas of the economy as well as uh the
Russians and North Koreans have been
increasing or working to increase their
trade for quite a few years now if I
were to just shift the focus of uh uh
the western side towards the Eastern
side towards North Korea side
if North Korea has its missiles in or
rather if Russia has North Korean
missiles in its Arsenal which are being
fired into Ukraine we all understand
North Korea had its military posturing
given South Korea and US military drills
at North Korea’s doep is Russia a silent
partner standing behind North Korea
without announcing it if there is any
kind of a conflict which erupts which
things have been on a boil between North
Korea and South
Korea well I think Russia attempts to
avoid ending up in blocks that is
alliances that is we seen the same in
Middle East it would like to get closer
to Iran but also it wants to get closer
to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States so
you know he wants to be closer with
China but it also doesn’t want to
alienate India so it avoids this block
system which the Americans well in the
NATO has promoted very strongly after
the Cold War and I think the same
applies to the Korean Peninsula uh
Russia has worked very hard to develop
closer relationship with both North and
South Korea indeed what we saw in the
’90s when Russia began to distance
itself from North Korea it was actually
cut out from a lot of the Diplomatic
arrangements with South Korea simply
because it lost influence in North Korea
so Russia has his new diplomatic
approach around the world now entails
establishing good relations effectively
with both sides so I I I I think it
would be very incorrect to suggest that
Russia’s well is engaging in a military
uh block or Alliance or campaign against
South Korea because uh developing good
economic relations with South Korea has
been a key priority for for Russia but
of course in against as Russia’s now
fighting this proxy war with nato in
Ukraine it will of course accept any
partnership it has now with North Korea
even though it’s a small country it has
huge amounts of weapons so it makes it
an interesting partner uh NATO boss
visited Ukraine just recently and
promises more weapons in the coming days
now if NATO is promising those weapons
to Ukraine and it has us already has the
security Aid bill which has been now
signed into law now do you feel Russia
would also be reaching out more actively
towards its Partners or at least its
friendlies when it comes to the weapons
that it need to use in to continue the
the war effort because it’s in the open
that Iranian drones have been used by
Russia we’ve now seen reports of the
Hong 11 ballistic missile debris found
in Ukraine do you feel Russia could
perhaps also be reaching out to China
since more NATO nations would be coming
out in support of
Ukraine uh yeah because this is a very
high intense intense War there’s a huge
amount of Weaponry being used and now
over a long period of time uh but is
also the kind of weapons which are
important I think the it’s mostly
artillery shells it drones and its
missiles these are the main weapons that
the the Russians are now seeking and
using now in terms of NATO I think the
key problem if even though they’re
signing more money they’re low on
ammunition and also Ukraine is low on
Manpower and it’s for this reason we see
that NATO and Ukraine are losing this
war against Russia now obviously more
weapons will be sent but I think it’s
also worth focusing on the type of
weapons NATO sending because now it’s
sending more long range missiles and
Washington has also greenlighted
striking deep inside Russian territory
now this is obviously to hit
accumulation of soldiers weapon Depots
logistic centers vital
infrastructure uh but uh but of course
this is the risk that uh this thin line
between a proxy war and a direct war is
slowly being erased so uh I think this
is what Russia will now also seek to
counter so but uh this would probably
result in escalation in terms of the war
intensifying even further so probably uh
Russia opening a new front uh in the
north along kov and sumu and if this is
the case they will also require much
more weapons as they have a huge Army
built up in the rear which is preparing
to enter the war now in a huge
offensive indeed because the as you
mentioned correctly and I agree with
that it’s what I’m saying that the the
thin line between being a proxy war and
a real war real war in the sense a face
Toof face all out front War those lines
are getting blurred very very fast as
things are escalating very well into the
third year of the war now and uh us
elections are around the corner and I
even spoke earlier with a former member
of parliament of former member of
Russian Parliament and he mentioned that
Russia doesn’t need more land it it has
enough land of its own they just don’t
want us forces at its border and Ukraine
is where US forces can enforce their
military might against Russia it won’t
happen throughout the other NATO borders
because there are there are uh
democracies of their own and they will
not be willing to attack Russia like a
country like Finland but Ukraine that’s
on Shaky Ground and that’s where Russia
stands on that so this definitely seems
like a war which is continuing and we
are seeing the third year of it playing
out in front of us uh we will be keeping
in touch as the developments come in
that was Glenn dies joining us he’s a
professor of international relations
University of Southeastern Norway always
a pleasure speaking with you Glenn thank

sh Skies over the Baltic regions are
becoming dangerous for airplanes flights
have been reported Bing an increasing
number of missing of fake GPS signals
right and the culprit is Russia
according to Baltic leaders they’ve now
warned that Russia’s dangerous Maneuvers
could cause an air disaster soon fin air
has suspended its flights to the
Estonian City for one month due to GPS
interference now the official statement
states that flights will remain
suspended between 29th of April and 31st
of May till they come up with an
alternative that doesn’t require GPS
altogether now this comes after two fin
air flights heading to Estonia had to
turn back to Finland due to GPS

the act as a Russian hybrid attack the
GPS jamming or blackout episodes Have
Become regular since 2022 according to
Euro control the European Organization
for the safety of air navigation and
offl they’ve been on the
rise now what is GPS jamming all modern
planes are built with equipment that
send and receive constant signals from
Global navigation satellite systems like
us global positioning system the GPS and
Europe’s Galileo this helps the pilot to
navigate during the course of the flight
now what GPS jamming involves is
overloading an aircraft signal equipment
with sustained interference that it can
no longer send or receive information
from its GPS systems a us-based GPS
users Lobby group says Russia is
regularly attacking the aircraft
passenger es and sovereignty of NATO
countries around 985 GPS outages were
recorded in the first two months of this
year near the Baltic this is seven times
more than cases recorded in the first
two months of 2023 around
1,371 cases were reported in 2023
flights in and out of Britain are among
thousands that have been affected by
suspected Russian
jamming the GPS jamming sessions mostly
occur around Russia’s scend and grad on
Cliff a key military post for Russia in
fact these signals are also impeding
signals using a used by boats in the
Baltic Sea to this effect Swedish Navy
has also warned about safety of
shipping in mid-march a military plane
carrying British defense secretary Grand
shars was hit by GPS jamming on its way
back from Poland over 2,300 dryan air
flights have reported incidents of GPS
interference since last August lava’s

there is speculation that these aircraft

there are reports which indicate that
the Armed Forces of Ukraine May assemble

others produced in the 1970s and80s
the declared value of the sale was 1

19,300 per aircraft now further among
the aircraft acquired the mikoyan mc31
known as the supersonic Interceptor

an ex German Soldier has admitted to
spying for Russia during a trial the
soldier claims that he wished to avoid
escalation in the ongoing Russia Ukraine
war during his trial the former German
Soldier admitted that what he did was
wrong the 54-year-old has been accused
of passing information to Russian
intelligence service this included the
information like documents related to
munition systems and aircraft craft
technology the former German Soldier
obtained these documents while working
in the German Army’s equipment
information technology and inservice
support department according to
prosecutors Thomas approached the
Russian General Consulate in born and
the Russian Embassy in Berlin and
offered his cooperation in May
2023 he says he was worried about
Germany being dragged into the war
through delivery of weapons to Ukraine
the German soldiers aim was was to
obtain information before a possible
nuclear escalation to keep his family
safe he believed the German government
wasn’t looking out for the security of
its citizens hearings in Thomas’s case
are said to last until late June but
this is not a lone case this month
investigators arrested two German
Russian men on suspension of spying for
Russia and planning attacks in Germany a
former German intelligence officer is
also on trial in in Berlin for spying in
November 2022 a German Army Reserve
officer was handed a suspended sentence
for passing information to Russian
intelligence German Chancellor Charles
has clearly said that we can never
accept that Espionage activities take
place in the
country as for the United Nations
sanctions monitors the debris from a
missile that landed in the Ukrainian
city of kariv on the 2nd of January well
that debris belonged to a North Korean
Hong 11 series ballistic missile now as
for Russian State media the report
cannot be considered an expert report
it’s not conclusive is Russia using
North Korean missiles in Ukraine well to
discuss this we are being joined by
Glenn dies who’s the professor of
international relations University of
Southeastern Norway Glenn always a
pleasure of speaking with you now uh
Reuters is quoting its sources and so is
Russian statement media reuter says that
you know it did belong that their
sources suggest and they confirm that
the UN sanctions monitors have said that
the missile the debris it belonged to a
North Korean missile Russian State media
says their sources in the UN have told
them that it’s not a conclusive report
if we just look at it on the basis of
diplomatic ties we all understand Russia
and North Korea have those uh military
tie-ups do you feel pongyang is
providing missiles to Russia which it’s
using in
ukine well I know the Russian media has
contested it and obviously I don’t have
the technical expertise to assess if
this is from North Korea and it’s of of
course also difficult to cut through the
fog of War but that being said I think
it’s very likely that Russia has been
sourcing weapons from North Korea then
especially artillery shells and missiles
as well North Korea is a very
militarized country with huge stock
piles it shares a border with Russia it
has friendly relations with Russia so I
guess yeah why would Russia not Source
missiles and shells from North Korea um
as well NATO sending weapons to Ukraine
and it also attempts to buy all
available weapons around the world so I
think Russia is similarly sourcing
weapons so um I I think it’s uh credible
uh although I would like of course like
you to see conclusive
evidence uh again now given the kind of
tie-ups they have it seems likely that
Russia would be using it but if we were
to now just take that as a given that
yes Russia did use North Korean missiles
what does it say about Russia’s war
effort at the moment because now Russia
you know it always comes across as this
military power and it is one but the
fact that it’s having to rely on a a
much smaller neighbor compared to its
own state which is North Korea and it’s
having to use North Korean missiles is
there some kind of a dir of weapons that
Russia is perhaps suffering from at the
moment I and there are enough reports to
suggest that Russia’s defense
manufacturing has really boomed over the
course of these last two years plus
since their invasion of Ukraine but why
would they have to use North Korean
missiles even if they
are well I think or even NATO admits
that Russia is out producing uh all of
the NATO countries combined now so
there’s nothing wrong with their
production but however this has been a
very intensive uh War for more than two
years years now so obviously getting
additional supplies uh to what extent
they rely on them or if it’s just
additional uh I I wouldn’t be in a
position to say uh but also why why
wouldn’t they get from North Korea again
this is uh a neighboring country they
have a lot of weapons uh certainly I
assume if if NATO could access North
Korean shells uh NATO would probably
want to get their hands on them as well
so it’s um it’s a heav militarized
country but in this instance it’s a
positive thing for Russia if you want to
go out and buy weapons uh so and again
the shared border also uh is not um yeah
is obviously an advantage as well in
terms of uh yeah sourcing weapons uh
Glenn
now there is never just a give it’s
never just a take there’s always a give
and a take when it comes to Russia and
North Korea what’s the give and take
relationship there if Russia is sourcing
those Miss from North Korea what does
North Korea get from Russia I’ll just
like to you know take a recap here uh a
few months ago it was last year when we
saw North Korean leader Kim Jong-un make
his way VIA his train his armored train
to the wasni uh Cosmo Drome and soon
after that I think within months after
that we saw North Korea finally
releasing and the launch of the
successful launch of a North Korean
satellite after which North Korea shared
the photograph of the White House from
the satellite that they had just
launched now is that what North Korea
gains from Russia what’s the give and
take
there well this doesn’t happen in the
open so it would of course be
speculations but uh I what I have what
I’m assuming or at least what I believe
is that uh in the weapon sphere it
appears that Russia is supplying North
Korea with more advanced weapons
Technologies uh satellite Technologies
meanwhile North Korea has a vast amount
of artillery shells and missile which it
can ship to Russia so there there is a a
weapons trade going on here at least
that’s what I assume I can’t prove any
of this but this is what appears to be
the case uh as um uh but but this also
of course stretched into other areas of
the economy as well as uh the Russians
and North Koreans have been increasing
or working to increase their trade for
quite a few years now if I were to just
shift the focus off uh uh the western
side towards the Eastern side towards
North Korea side if North Korea has its
missiles in or rather if Russia has
North Korean missiles in its Arsenal
which are being fired into Ukraine we
all understand North Korea its military
posturing given South Korea and US
military drills at North Korea’s
doorstep is Russia a silent partner
standing behind North Korea without
announcing it if there is any kind of a
conflict which erupts which things have
been on a boil between North Korea and
South Korea
well I think Russia attempts to avoid
ending up in blocks that is alliances
that is uh we seen the same in Middle
East it would like to get closer to Iran
but also it wants to get closer to Saudi
Arabia and other Gulf States so you know
it wants to be closer with China but it
also doesn’t want to alienate India so
it avoids this block system which the
Americans well in the NATO has promoted
very strongly after the Cold War and I
think the same applies to the Korean
peninsula
uh Russia has worked very hard to
develop closer relationship with both
North and South Korea indeed what we saw
in the ’90s when Russia began to
distance itself from North Korea it was
actually cut out from a lot of the
Diplomatic arrangements with South Korea
simply because it lost influence in
North Korea so uh Russia has its new
diplomatic approach around the world now
entails establishing good relations
effectively with both sides so I I I I
think it would be very incorrect to
suggest that Russia’s well is engaging
in a military block or Alliance or
campaign against South Korea because
developing good economic relations with
South Korea has been a key priority for
for Russia but of course in against as
Russia’s now fighting this proxy war
with nato in Ukraine it will of course
accept any partnership it has now with
North Korea even though it’s a small
country it has a huge amounts of weapons
so it makes it an interesting partner uh
NATO boss visited Ukraine just recently
and promises more weapons in the coming
days now if NATO is promising those
weapons to Ukraine and it has a us
already has the security Aid bill which
has been now signed into law now do you
feel Russia would also be reaching out
more actively towards its Partners or at
least its friendlies when it comes to
the weapons that it need to use in to
continue the the war effort because it’s
in the open that Iranian drones have
been used by Russia uh We’ve now seen
reports of the Hong 11 ballistic missile
debris found in Ukraine do you feel
Russia could perhaps also be reaching
out to China since more NATO nations
would be coming out in support of
Ukraine uh yeah because this is a very
high intense intense War there’s a huge
amount of Weaponry being used and now
over a long period of time uh but it’s
also the kind of weapons which are
important I think the it’s mostly
artillery shells it’s drones and it’s
missiles these are the main weapons that
the the Russians are now seeking and
using now in terms of NATO I think the
key problem if even though they’re
signing more money they’re low on
ammunition and also Ukraine is low on
Manpower and it’s for this reason we see
that NATO and Ukraine are losing this
war against Russia now obviously more
weapons will be sent but I think it’s
also worth focusing on the type of
weapons NATO sending because now it’s
sending more long range missiles and and
Washington has also greenlighted
striking deep inside Russian territory
now this is obviously to hit
accumulation of soldiers weapon Depots
Logistics centers vital
infrastructure uh but uh but of course
this is the risk that uh this thin line
between a proxy war and a direct war is
slowly being erased so uh I think this
is what Russia will now also seek to
counter so uh but uh this would probably
result in in escalation in terms of the
war intensifying even further so
probably Russia opening a new front in
the north along kov and Sumi and if this
is the case they will also require much
more weapons as they have a huge Army
built up in the rear which is preparing
to enter the war now in a huge
offensive indeed because the as you
mentioned correctly and I agree with
that is what I’m saying that the the
thin line between being a proxy war and
a real war real war in the sense a face
tof face allout front War those lines
are getting blurred very very fast as
things are escalating very well into the
third year of the war now and uh us
elections are around the corner and I
even spoke earlier with a former member
of parliament of former member of
Russian Parliament and he mentioned that
Russia doesn’t need more land it it has
enough land of its own they just don’t
want us forces at its border and Ukraine
is where US forces can enforce their
military might against Russia it won’t
happen throughout the other NATO borders
because they are they are democracies of
their own and they will not be willing
to attack Russia like a country like
Finland but Ukraine that’s on Shaky
Ground and that’s where Russia stands on
that so this definitely seems like a war
which is continuing and we are seeing
the third year of it playing out in
front of us uh we will be keeping in
touch as the developments come in that
was Glenn De joining us he’s a professor
of international relations University of
Southeastern Norway always a pleasure of
speaking with you Glenn thank you
Shivan Skies over the Baltic regions are

have been reporting an increasing number

the culprit is Russia according to

the act as a Russian hybrid attack the
GPS jamming or blackout episodes Have
Become regular since 2022 according to
Euro control the European Organization
for the safety of air navigation and
offl they’ve been on the rise
now what is GPS jamming all modern
planes are built with equipment that
send and receive constant signals from
Global navigation satellite systems like
us global positioning system the GPS and
Europe’s Galileo this helps the pilot to
navigate during the course of the flight
now what GPS jamming involves is
overloading an aircraft signal equipment
with sustained interference and that it
can no longer send or receive
information from its GPS systems a
us-based GPS users Lobby group says
Russia is regularly attacking the
aircraft passengers and sovereignty of
NATO countries around 985 GPS outages
were recorded in the first two months of
this year near the Baltic this is seven
times more than cases recorded in the
first two months of 2023 around
1,371 cases were reported in 2023
flights in and out of Britain are among
thousands that have been affected by
suspected Russian
jamming the GPS jamming sessions mostly
occur around Russia’s scin and grad on

well the Russian invasion of Ukraine has
Unleashed a wave of innovation on the
battlefield well both sides strive to
protect their tanks from deadly threats
and our next report tells you how amidst
exploding drones and Relentless assaults
Moscow has uned a peculiar yet effective
solution the turtle tank take a look at
this one
[Music]
tanks have been a mean stay of warfare
for over a century Russia to sent
Columns of these heavy war machines in
the initial weeks of its invasion of
Ukraine but these iron beasts found
themselves vulnerable using Gorilla
tactics ukrainians pinned them down
making the Russian tanks vulnerable to
drone attacks but ever since Moscow has
learned strategic lessons and is using
the same tactic on ukrainians forcing
them to remove Abraham’s M1 A1 battle
tanks after they were being repeatedly
blown up on the other hand Russian
forces have added extra armor to their
tanks these vehicles are covered in
metal armor on all sides except the
front where the main gun protrudes
resembling the head of a turtle poking
out of its shell this strange design is
a direct adaptation to the specific
challenges posed by Ukraine’s increasing
use of small explosive Laden drones
against Russian armor the turtle tanks
have been spotted in various locations
along the front lines including the
fierce battles around chavar a critical
Ukrainian held town west of bahmut as
the ukrainians increasingly turn to
small drones packed with explosives to
Target Russian Vehicles these new
defensive structures have become a
necessary adaptation on the ever
evolving front
lines we have to improvise with what we
have if we don’t have artillery support
because they don’t have shells we have
to find other ways to destroy the enemy

more than two years into Russia’s
full-scale Invasion Ukraine’s
mobilization effort is struggling amid
flagging enthusiasm however a
68-year-old Ukrainian Commander who’s in
the thick of the war refuses to let any

compromised of dozens of Ukrainian men
mostly over 60 years old who are
considered too old to be drafted but
still want to fight for their

roving Behind Enemy Lines with
truck-mounted rocket launchers they they

themselves as well as Weapons captured
from the enemy so far efforts to
officially integrate into the military
have been unsuccessful Teran said during
a recent visit by Reuters to their base
in the southeastern zapara region they
were seen preparing rocket rounds later
fired by troops from another unit this
63-year-old volunteer fighter goes by

progress in the East analysts say
Ukraine’s shortage of Manpower needs to
be addressed earlier this month
Ukrainian President Vladimir zalinski
approved new measures allowing the
military to call up more troops and
strengthen penalties for evasion he also
reduced the mobilization age from 27 to
25 Tran who has been fighting since 2014
said coercion would be unlikely to beat

United States has procured 81 outdated
Soviet era combat aircrafts from
kakistan their purpose behind the US
acquisition remains undisclosed but
there is speculation that these
aircrafts will be potentially deployed
in Ukraine where similar jets are still
in service there are reports which
indicate that the Armed Forces of
Ukraine May dissemble uh them for spare
parts or even use the obsolete airf
frames as decoys at
airfields now as part of the process
back in October it was announced that
the kazak government was offering 117
Soviet era fighter and bomb aircrafts
for sale by auction this included the MC
31 interceptors the MC 27 fighter
bombers the MC 29 among others produced
in the 1970s and
80s the declared value of the sale was 1
billion um and which is about $1.7
million averaging
19,300 per aircraft now further among
the aircraft acquired the mikoyan mc31
known as a supersonic Interceptor
crucial for defending Soviet airspace
during the Cold War stands out the mc27
derived from the mc23 served as a ground
attack aircraft while the mc29 excelled
in air-to-air combat and remains
operational in some air
forces the Z24 or the suco 24 and all
where the Tactical bomber despite its
age continues to serve in various Air
Forces including the Russian Aerospace
forces and Ukrainian air Force

the German soldiers aim was to obtain

as for the United Nations sanctions
monitors the debris from a missile that
landed in the Ukrainian city of karv on
the 2nd of January well that debris
belonged to a North Korean Hong 11
series ballistic missile now as for
Russian State media the report cannot be
considered an expert report it’s not
conclusive is Russia using North Korean
missiles in Ukraine well to discuss this
we are being joined by Glenn dies who’s
a professor of international relations
University of Southeastern Norway Glenn
always a pleasure of speaking with you
now uh Reuters is quoting its sources
and so is Russian State media Reuters
says that you know it did belong that
their sources suggest and they confirm
that the UN sanctions monitors have said
that the missile the debris it belonged
to a North Korean missile Russian State
media says their sources in the UN have
told them that it’s not a conclusive
report if we just look at it on the
basis of diplomatic ties we all
understand Russia and North Korea have
those uh milit tie ups do you feel
pongyang is providing missiles to Russia
which it’s using in
Ukraine well I know the Russian media
has contested it and uh obviously I
don’t have the technical expertise to
assess if this is from North Korea and
it’s of of course also difficult to cut
through the fog of War but that being
said I think it’s very likely that
Russia has been sourcing weapons from
North Korea then especially artillery
shells and missiles as well North Korea
is a very militarized country with huge
stock pip it shares a border with Russia
it has friendly relations with Russia so
I guess yeah why would Russia not Source
missiles and shells from North Korea um
as well NATO sending weapons to Ukraine
and it also attempts to buy all
available weapons around the world so I
think Russia is similarly sourcing
weapon so um I I think it’s uh credible
uh although I would like of course like
you to see conclusive
evidence uh again now given the kind of
tie-ups they have it seems likely that
Russia would be using it but if we were
to now just take that as a given that
yes Russia did use North Korean missiles
what does it say about Russia’s war
effort at the moment because now Russia
you know it always comes across as this
military power and it is one but the
fact that it’s having to rely on a a
much smaller neighbor compared to its
own state which is North Korea and it’s
having to use North Korean missiles is
there some kind of dir of weapons that
Russia is perhaps suffering from at the
moment I understand and there are enough
reports to suggest that Russia’s defense
manufacturing has really boomed over the
course of these last two years plus
since their invasion of Ukraine but why
would they have to use North Korean
missiles even if they
are well I think or even NATO admits
that Russia is out producing uh all of
the NATO countries combined now so
there’s nothing wrong with their
production however this has been a very
intensive uh War for more than two years
now so obviously getting additional
supplies uh to what extent they rely on
them or if it’s just additional uh I I
wouldn’t be in a position to say uh but
also why why wouldn’t they get from
North Korea again this is a a
neighboring country they have a lot of
weapons uh certainly I assume if if NATO
could access North Korean shells uh NATO
would probably want to get hands on them
as well so it’s
um it’s a heavily militarized country
but in this instance it’s a positive
thing for Russia if you want to go out
and buy weapons uh so and again the
shared border also uh is not um yeah is
obviously an advantage as well in terms
of uh yeah sourcing weapons uh Glenn
now there is never just a give it’s
never just a take there’s always a give
and a take when it comes to Russia and
North Korea what’s the give and take
relationship there if Russia is sourcing
those missiles from North Korea what
does North Korea get from Russia I’ll
just like to you know take a recap here
uh a few months ago it was last year
when we saw North Korean leader Kim
Jong-un make his way VIA his train his
armored train to the wasni uh cosmodrome
and soon after that I think within
months after that we saw North Korea
finally releasing and the launch of a
the successful launch of a North Korean
satellite after which North Korea shared
the photograph of the White House from
the satellite that they had just
launched now is that what North Korea
gains from Russia what’s the give and
take
there well this doesn’t happen in the
open so it would of course be
speculations but uh I what I have what
I’m assuming or at least what I believe
is that uh in the weapon sphere it
appears that Russia is supplying North
Korea with more advanced weapons
Technologies uh satellite Technologies
meanwhile North Korea has a vast amount
of artillery shells and missiles which
it can ship to Russia so there there is
a a weapons trade going on here uh at
least that’s what I assume I can’t prove
any of this but this is what appears to
be the case uh as um uh but but this
also of course stretched into other
areas of the economy as well as uh the
Russians and North Koreans have been
increasing or working to increase their
trade for quite a few years now if I
were to just shift the focus of uh uh
the western side towards the Eastern
side towards North Korea side if North
Korea has its missiles in or rather if
Russia has North Korean missiles in its
Arsenal which are being fired into
Ukraine we all understand North Korea
had its military posturing given South
Korea and US military drills at North
Korea’s doorstep is Russia a silent
partner standing behind North Korea
without announcing it if there is any
kind of a conflict which erupts which
things have been on a boil between North
Korea and South
Korea well I think Russia attempts to
avoid ending up in blocks that is
alliances that is we seen the same in
Middle East they would like to get
closer to Iran but also it wants to get
closer to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf
States so you know it wants to be closer
with China but it also doesn’t want to
alienate India so it avoids this block
system which the Americans well in the
NATO has promoted very strongly after
the Cold War and I think the same
applies to the Korean
Peninsula Russia has worked very hard to
develop closer relationship with both
North and South Korea indeed what we saw
in the 90s when Russia began to distance
itself from North Korea it was actually
cut out from a lot of the Diplomatic
arrangements with South Korea simply
because it lost influence in North Korea
so uh Russia has its new diplomatic
approach around the world now entails
establishing good relations effectively
with both sides so I I I I think it
would be very incorrect to suggest that
Russia’s well is engaging in a military
uh block or Alliance or campaign against
South Korea because uh developing good
economic relations with South Korea has
been a key priority for for Russia but
of course in against as Russia’s now
fighting this proxy war with nato in
Ukraine it will of course accept any
partner ship it has now with North Korea
even though it’s a small country it has
huge amounts of weapons so it makes it
an interesting partner uh NATO boss
visited Ukraine just recently and uh
promises more weapons in the coming days
now if NATO is promising those weapons
to Ukraine and it has us already has the
security Aid bill which has been now
signed into law now do you feel Russia
would also be reaching out more actively
towards its Partners or at least it’s
friendlies when it comes to the weapons
that it need to use in to continue the
the war effort because it’s in the open
that Iranian drones have been used by
Russia uh We’ve now seen reports of the
Hong 11 ballistic missile debris found
in Ukraine do you feel Russia could
perhaps also be reaching out to China
since more NATO nations would be coming
out in support of
Ukraine uh yeah because this is a very
high intense intense War there’s a huge
amount of Weaponry being used and now
over a long Peri period of time uh but
it’s also the kind of weapons which are
important I think the it’s mostly
artillery shells it’s drones and it’s
missiles these are the main weapons that
the the Russians are now seeking and
using now in terms of NATO I think the
key problem if even though they’re
signing more money they’re low on
ammunition and also Ukraine is low on
Manpower and it’s for this reason we see
that NATO and Ukraine are losing this
war against Russia now obviously more
weapons will be sent but I think it’s
also worth focusing on the Ty of weapons
NATO sending because now it’s sending
more long range missiles and Washington
has also greenlighted striking deep
inside Russian territory now this is
obviously to hit accumulation of
soldiers weapon Depots logistic centers
vital
infrastructure uh but uh but of course
this is the risk that uh this thin line
between a proxy war and a direct war is
slowly being erased so uh I think this
is what Russia will now also seek to
count so uh but uh this would probably
result in an escalation in terms of the
war intensifying even further so
probably Russia opening a new front uh
in the north along kov and Sumi and if
this is the case they will also require
much more weapons as they have a huge
Army built up in the rear which is
preparing to enter the war now in a huge
offensive indeed because the as you
mentioned correctly and I agree with
that is what I’m saying that the the
thin line between being a proxy war and
a real war real war in the sense a face
tof face allout front War those lines
are getting blurred very very fast as
things are escalating very well into the
third year of the war now and uh us
elections are around the corner and I
even spoke earlier with a former member
of parliament of former member of
Russian Parliament and he mentioned that
Russia doesn’t need more land it it has
enough land of its own they just don’t
want us forces at its border and Ukraine
is where US forces can enforce their
military might against Russia it won’t
happen throughout the other NATO borders
because they are they are democracies of
their own and they will not be willing
to attack Russia like a country like
Finland but Ukraine that’s on Shaky
Ground and that’s where Russia stands on
that so this definitely seems like a war
which is continuing and we are seeing
the third year of it playing out in
front of us uh we will be keeping in
touch as the developments come in that

Shivan Skies over the Baltic regions are
becoming dangerous for airplanes flights
have been reporting an increasing number
of missing of fake GPS signals right and
the culprit is Russia according to
Baltic leaders they’ve now warned that
Russia’s dangerous Maneuvers could cause
an air disaster soon fin air has
suspended its flights to the Estonian
City for one month due to GPS
interference
now the official statement states that
flights will remain suspended between
29th of April and 31st of May till they
come up with an alternative that doesn’t
require GPS altogether now this comes
after two fin
air flights heading to Estonia had to
turn back to Finland due to GPS
interference Estonian Minister described
the act as a Russian hybrid attack the
GPS jamming or blackout episodes Have
Become regular since 2022 according to
Euro control the European organiz ation
for the safety of air navigation and off
late they’ve been on the
rise now what is GPS jamming all modern
planes are built with equipment that
send and receive constant signals from
Global navigation satellite systems like
us global positioning system the GPS and
Europe’s Galileo this helps the pilot to
navigate during the course of the flight
now what GPS jamming involves is
overloading an aircraft signal equipment
with sustained interference that it can
no longer send or receive information
from its GPS systems a USB GPS users
Lobby group says Russia is regularly
attacking the aircraft passengers and
sovereignty of NATO countries around 985
GPS outages were recorded in the first
two months of this year near the Baltic
this is seven times more than cases
recorded in the first 2 months of 2023
around
1,371 cases were reported in 2023
flights in and out of Britain are among
thousands that have been affected by
suspected Russian
jamming the GPS jamming sessions mostly
occur around Russia’s kalend and grad en
Cliff a key military post for Russia in
fact these signals are also impeding
signals using a used by boats in the
Baltic Sea to this effect Swedish Navy
has also warned about safety of
shipping in mid-march a military plane
carrying British defense secretary Grand
shars was hit by GPS jamming on its way
back from Poland over 2,300 dryan air
flights have reported incidents of Jeep
interference since last August lava’s
air Baltic has reported similar problems
as
well the Russian invasion of Ukraine has
Unleashed a wave of innovation on the
battlefield well both sides strive to
protect their tanks from deadly threats
and our next report tells you how amidst
exploding drones and Relentless assaults
Moscow has uned a peculiar yet effective
solution the turtle tank take a look at
this one
[Music]
tanks have been a main stay of warfare
for over a century Russia too sent
Columns of these heavy war machines in
the initial weeks of its invasion of
Ukraine but these iron beasts found
themselves vulnerable using Gorilla
tactics ukrainians pinned them down
making the Russian tanks vulnerable to
drone attacks but ever since Moscow has
learned strategic lessons and is using
the same tactic on ukrainians forcing
them to remove Abraham’s M1 A1 battle
tanks after they were being repeatedly
blown up on the other hand Russian
forces have added extra armor to their
tanks these vehicles are covered in
metal armor on all sides except the
front where the main gun protrudes
resembling the head of a turtle poking
out of its chair
this strange design is a direct
adaptation to the specific challenges
posed by Ukraine’s increasing use of
small explosive Laden drones against
Russian armor the turtle tanks have been
spotted in various locations along the
front lines including the fierce battles
around chavar a critical Ukrainian heal
town west of bahmut as the ukrainians
increasingly turn to small drones packed
with explosives to Target Russian
vehicles
these new defensive structures have
become a necessary adaptation on the
ever evolving front
lines we have to improvise with what we
have if we don’t have artillery support
because they don’t have shells we have
to find other ways to destroy the enemy
and drones work like nothing else at
least we can get them from
somewhere as the Ukrainian forces wait
for weapon deliveries from the West
Russian forces continue to attack
this is the moment when a number of
missiles rain down in Ukraine’s
Odessa the missile attack on an
educational institution in a popular

sanctions monitors have said that the
debris from a missile that landed in the

been identified from a North Korean Wong

has the complete story take a
look missile debris that landed in
Ukrainian city of harv on January 2nd
was from a North Korean ballistic
missile that’s according to a report
from United Nations sanctions monitors
to a security Council committee and seen
by Reuters on
Monday this footage is from days after
the January strike at the time the local
prosecutor’s office showed fragments of
the missile to the media suggesting they
could have been from one supplied by
North Korea in the report the monitors
concluded that the debris was from a
hang 11 series missile and is in
violation of the arms embargo on North
Korea it’s been under un sanction since
2006 over its ballistic missile and
nuclear programs in their report the
monitors say they quote could not
independently identify from where the
missile was launched nor by whom
information about the missile’s
trajectory supplied by Ukraine suggests
it was launched from Russia the report

than two years into Russia’s fullscale
Invasion with Russian troops making
progress in the East analysts say
Ukraine’s shortage of Manpower needs to
be addressed
earlier this month Ukrainian President
Vladimir zalinski approved new measures
allowing the military to call up more
troops and strengthen penalties for
evasion he also reduced the mobilization
age from 27 to
25 Tran who has been fighting since 2014
said coercion would be unlikely to beat

United States has procured 81 out ated
Soviet era combat aircrafts from
kakistan the purpose behind the US
acquisition remains undisclosed but
there is speculation that these
aircrafts will be potentially deployed
in Ukraine where similar jets are still
in service there are reports which
indicate that the Armed Forces of
Ukraine May assemble uh them for spare
parts or even use the obsolete air
frames as decoys at
airfields now as part of the process
back in October it was announced that
the kazak government who was offering
117 Soviet era fighter and bomber
aircrafts for sale by auction this
included the MC 31 interceptors the MC
27 fighter bombers the MC 29 among
others produced in the 1970s and
8s the declared value of the sale was 1
billion um and which is about 1.7
million averaging
19,300 per aircraft now further among
the aircraft acquired the mikoyan mc31
known as a supersonic Interceptor
crucial for defending Soviet airspace
during the Cold War stands out the Mig

ground attack aircraft while the mc29
excelled in air-to-air combat and

age continues to serve in various Air

former German Soldier admitted that what
he did was wrong the 54-year-old has

included the information like documents

information technology and inservice

Russian General Consulate in Bon and the
Russian Embassy in Berlin and offered

he says he was worried about Germany
being dragged into the war through
delivery of weapons to Ukraine the
German soldiers aim was to obtain

escalation to keep his family safe he

as for the United Nations sanctions
monitors the debris from a missile that
landed in the Ukrainian city of karv on
the 2nd of January well that debris
belonged to a North Korean Hong 11
series ballistic missile now as for
Russian State media the report cannot be
considered an expert report it’s not
conclusive is Russia using North Korean
missiles in Ukraine well to discuss this
we are being joined by Glenn dies who’s
a professor of of international
relations University of Southeastern
Norway Glenn always a pleasure speaking
with you now uh Reuters is quoting its
sources and so is Russian State media
reuter says that you know it did belong
that their sources suggest and they
confirm that the UN sanctions monitors
have said that the missile the debris it
belonged to a North Korean missile
Russian State media says their sources
in the UN have told them that it’s not a
conclusive report if we just look at it
on the basis of Di diplomatic ties we
all understand Russia and North Korea
have those military tie-ups do you feel
pongyang is providing missiles to Russia
which it’s using in
Ukraine well I know the Russian media
has contested it and uh obviously I
don’t have the technical expertise to
assess if this is from North Korea and
it’s of of course also difficult to cut
through the fog of War but that being
said I think it’s very likely that
Russia has been sourcing weapons from
North Korea then especially artillery
shells and missile
as well North Korea is a very
militarized country with huge stock
piles it shares a border with Russia it
has friendly relations with Russia so I
guess yeah why would Russia not Source
missiles and shells from North Korea um
as well NATO sending weapons to Ukraine
and it also attempts to buy all
available weapons around the world so I
think Russia is similarly sourcing
weapon so um I I think it’s uh credible
uh although I would like of course like
you to see conclusive
evidence uh again now given the kind of
tie-ups they have it seems likely that
Russia would be using it but if we were
to now just take that as a given that
yes Russia did use North Korean missiles
what does it say about Russia’s war
effort at the moment because now Russia
you know it always comes across as this
military power and it is one but the
fact that it’s having to rely on a a
much smaller neighbor compared to its
own state which is North Korea and it’s
having to use North Korean missiles is
there some kind of a dir of weapons that
Russia is perhaps suffering from at the
moment I understand and there are enough
reports to suggest that Russia’s defense
manufacturing has really boomed over the
course of these last two years plus
since their invasion of Ukraine but why
would they have to use North Korean
missiles even if they
are well I think or even NATO admits
that Russia is out producing uh all of
the NATO countries combined now so
there’s nothing wrong with their
production however this has been a very
intensive War for more than two years
now so obviously getting additional
supplies uh to what extent they rely on
them or if it’s just additional uh I I
wouldn’t be in a position to say uh but
also why why wouldn’t they get from
North Korea again this is a neighboring
country they have a lot of weapons uh
certainly I assume if if NATO could
access North Korean shells NATO would
probably want to get their hands on them
as well so it’s um it’s a heavily
militarized country but in this instance
it’s a positive thing for Russia if you
want to go out and buy weapons uh so and
again the shared border also uh is not
um yeah is obviously an advantage as
well in terms of uh yeah sourcing
weapons uh Glen
now they is never just a give it’s never
just a take there’s always a give and a
take when it comes to Russia and North
Korea what’s the give and take
relationship there if Russia is sourcing
those missiles from North Korea what
does North Korea get from Russia I’ll
just like to you know take a recap here
uh a few months ago it was last year
when we saw North Korean leader Kim
Jong-un make his way VIA his train his
armored train to the wasni uh Cosmo
Drome and soon after that I think within
months after that we saw North Korea
finally releasing and the launch of a
the successful launch of a North Korean
satellite after which North Korea shared
the photograph of the White House from
the satellite that they had just
launched now is that what North Korea
gains from Russia what’s the give and
take
there well this doesn’t happen in the
open so it would of course be
speculations but uh I’ve what I have
what I’m assuming or at least what I
believe is that uh in the weapon sphere
it appears that Russia is supplying
North Korea with more advanced weapons
Technologies uh satellite Technologies
meanwhile North Korea has a vast amount
of artillery shells and missiles which
it can ship to Russia so there there is
a a weapons trade going on here uh at
least that’s what I assume I can’t prove
any of this but this is what appears to
be the case uh as um but but this also
of course stretched into other areas of
the economy as well as uh the Russian
and North Koreans have been increasing
or working to increase their trade for
quite a few years now if I were to just
shift the focus of uh uh the western
side towards the Eastern side towards
North Korea side if North Korea has its
missiles in or rather if Russia has
North Korean missiles in its Arsenal
which are being fired into Ukraine we
all understand North Korea its military
posturing given South Korea and US
military drills at North Korea’s
doorstep is Russia a silent partner
standing behind North Korea without
announcing it if there is any kind of a
conflict which erupts which things have
been on a boil between North Korea and
South
Korea well I think Russia attempts to
avoid ending up in blocks that is
alliances that is we seen the same in
Middle East it would like to get closer
to Iran but also it wants to get closer
to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States so
you know it wants to be closer with
China but it also doesn’t want to
alienate India so it avoids voids this
block system which the Americans well in
the NATO has promoted very strongly
after the Cold War and I think the same
applies to the Korean Peninsula uh
Russia has worked very hard to develop
closer relationship with both North and
South Korea indeed what we saw in the
90s when Russia began to distance itself
from North Korea it was actually cut out
from a lot of the Diplomatic
arrangements with South Korea simply
because it lost influence in North Korea
so Russia has it’s new diplomatic
approach around the world now entails
establishing good relations effectively
with both sides so I I I I think it
would be very incorrect to suggest that
Russia’s well is engaging in a military
uh block or Alliance or campaign against
South Korea because uh developing good
economic relations with South Korea has
been a key priority for for Russia but
of course in against as Russia’s now
fighting this proxy war with nato in
Ukraine it will of course accept any
partnership it has now with North Korea
even though it’s a small country it has
huge amount of weapons so it makes it an
interesting partner uh NATO boss visited
Ukraine just recently and promises more
weapons in the coming days now if NATO
is promising those weapons to Ukraine
and it has us already has the security
Aid bill which has been now signed into
law now do you feel Russia would also be
reaching out more actively towards its
Partners or at least its friendlies when
it comes to the weapons that it need to
use in to continue the the war effort
because it’s in the open that Iranian
drones have been used by Russia uh We’ve
now seen reports of the Wong 11
ballistic missile debris found in
Ukraine do you feel Russia could perhaps
also be reaching out to China since more
NATO nations would be coming out in
support of
Ukraine uh yeah because this is a very
high intens intense War there’s a huge
amount of Weaponry being used and now
over a long period of time uh but is
also the kind of weapons which are
important I think the it’s mostly
artillery shells it’s drones and it’s
missiles these are the main weapons that
the the Russians are now seeking and
using now in terms of NATO I think the
key problem if even though they’re
signing more money they’re low on
ammunition and also Ukraine is low on
Manpower and it’s for this reason we see
that NATO and Ukraine are losing this
war against Russia
now obviously more weapons will be sent
but I think it’s also worth focusing on
the type of weapons NATO sending because
now it’s sending more long range
missiles and Washington has also
greenlighted striking deep inside
Russian territory now this is obviously
to hit the accumulation of soldiers
weapon Depots logistic centers vital
infrastructure uh but uh but of course
this is the risk that uh this thin line
between a proxy war and a direct war is
slowly being erased so uh I think this
is what Russia will now also seek to
counter so uh but uh this would probably
result in escalation in terms of the war
intensifying even further so probably uh
Russia opening a new front uh in the
north along kov and Sumi and if this is
the case they will also require much
more weapons as they have a huge Army
built up in the rear which is preparing
to enter the war now in a huge offensive
I indeed because the as you mentioned
correctly and I agree with that is what
I’m saying that the the thin line
between being a proxy war and a real war
real war in the sense a face Toof face
all out front War those lines are
getting blurred very very fast as things
are escalating well into the third year
of the war now and uh us elections are
around the corner and I even spoke
earlier with a former member of
parliament of former member of Russian
Parliament and he mentioned that Russia
doesn’t need more land it it has enough
land of its own they just don’t want US
forces at its border and Ukraine is
where US forces can enforce their
military might against Russia it won’t
happen throughout the other NATO borders
because they are they are uh democracies
of their own and they will not be
willing to attack Russia like a country
like Finland but Ukraine that’s on Shaky
Ground and that’s where Russia stands on
that so this definitely seems like a war
which is continuing and we are seeing
the third year of it playing out in
front of us uh we will be keeping in
touch as the developments come in that

Shivan Skies over the Baltic regions are
becoming dangerous for airplanes flights
have been reporting an increasing number
of missing of fake GPS signs right and
the culprit is Russia according to
Baltic leaders they’ve now warned that
Russia’s dangerous Maneuvers could cause
an air disaster soon fin air has
suspended its flights to the Estonian
City for 1 month due to GPS
interference now the official statement
states that flights will remain
suspended between 29th of April and 31st
of May till they come up with an
alternative that doesn’t require GPS
altogether now this comes after two fin
air flights heading to Estonia had to
turn back to Finland due to GPS
interference Estonian Minister described
the act as a Russian hybrid attack the
GPS jamming or Blackout episode have
become regular since 2022 according to
Euro control the European Organization
for the safety of air navigation and off
late they’ve been on the
rise now what is GPS jamming all modern
planes are built with equipment that
send and receive constant signals from
Global navigation satellite systems like
us global positioning system the GPS and
Europe’s Galileo this helps the pilot to
navigate during the course of the flight
now what GPS jamming involves is
overloading an aircraft signal
equipment with sustained interference
that it can no longer send or receive
information from its GPS systems a USB
GPS users Lobby group says Russia is
regularly attacking the aircraft
passengers and sovereignty of NATO
countries around 985 GPS outages were
recorded in the first two months of this
year near the Baltic this is seven times
more than cases recorded in the first
two months of 2023 around
1,371 cases were reported in 2023 flight
in and out of Britain are among
thousands that have been affected by
suspected Russian
jamming the GPS jamming sessions mostly
occur around Russia’s Kalen grad en
Cliff a key military post for Russia in
fact these signals are also impeding
signals using a used by boats in the
Baltic Sea to this effect Swedish Navy
has also warned about safety of
shipping in mid March a military plane

shars was hit by GPS jamming on its way
back from Poland
over 2,300 Ryan Air flights have
reported incidents of GPS interference
since last August latva air Baltic has
reported similar problems as
well the Russian invasion of Ukraine has
Unleashed a wave of innovation on the
battlefield well both sides strive to
protect their tanks from deadly threats
and our next report tells you how amidst
exploding drones and Relentless assaults
Moscow has un whe a peuli yet effective
solution the turtle tank take a look at
this
one tanks have been a mean stay of
warfare for over a century Russia too
sent Columns of these heavy war machines
in the initial weeks of its invasion of
Ukraine but these iron beasts found
themselves vulnerable using Gorilla
tactics ukrainians pinned the down
making the Russian tanks vulnerable to
drone attacks but ever since Moscow has
learned strategic lessons and is using
the same tactic on ukrainians forcing
them to remove Abraham’s M1 A1 battle
tanks after they were being repeatedly
blown up on the other hand Russian
forces have added extra armor to their
tanks these vehicles are covered in
metal armor on all sides except the
front where the main gun protrudes
resembling the head of a turtle poking
out of its shell this strange design is
a direct adaptation to the specific
challenges posed by Ukraine’s increasing
use of small explosive Laden drones
against Russian armor the turtle tanks
have been spotted in various locations
along the front lines including the
fierce battles around chavar a critical
Ukrainian heal town west of bahmut as
the ukrainians increasing ly turned to
small drones packed with explosives to
Target Russian Vehicles these new
defensive structures have become a
necessary adaptation on the ever
evolving front
lines we have to improvise with what we
have if we don’t have artillery support
because they don’t have shells we have
to find other ways to destroy the enemy
and drones work like nothing else at
least we can get them from
somewhere as the Ukrainian forces wait
for weapon deliveries from the West
Russian forces continue to attack this
is the moment when a number of missiles
rain down in Ukraine’s
Odessa the missile attack on an
educational institution in a popular
seafront Park the building called the
Harry Potter Castle because of its
gothic style was seriously hit in the
attack bu report vion world is
one as the authorities assess which type
of missile hit the building in an
exclusive report by writers the UN
sanctions monitors have said that the
debr from a missile that landed in the
Ukrainian city of kar on January 2nd has
been identified from a North Korean Hong
11 series ballistic missile our report
has the complete story take a
look missile debris that landed in the
Ukrainian city of harv on January 2nd
was from a North Korean ballistic
missile
that’s according to a report from United
Nations sanctions monitors to a security
Council committee and seen by Reuters on
Monday this footage is from days after
the January strike at the time the local
prosecutor’s office showed fragments of
the missile to the media suggesting they
could have been from one supplied by
North Korea in the report the monitors
concluded that the debris was from a
hang 11 series missile and is in
violation of the arms embargo on North
Korea
it’s been under un sanction since 2006
over its ballistic missile and nuclear
programs in their report the monitors
say they quote could not independently
identify from where the missile was
launched nor by whom information about
the missile’s trajectory supplied by
Ukraine suggests it was launched from
Russia the report says Russia and the
dprk must be held accountable for their
actions the US and others have
previously accused North Korea of
transferring weapons to Russia to use
against Ukraine which had invaded over 2
years ago both have denied the
accusations last year they vowed to
deepen military
relations in a provocative guesture by
the Kremlin Russia is going to Showcase
captured Ukrainian and Western weapons
in the capital of Moscow this month-long
exhibition will begin on May 1st to
celebrate Victory Day offering visitors
a rare glimpse of collection of over 30
exhibits of military hardware from
various countries captured during the
ongoing War the exhibition will take
place in Victory Park and has been
described as a celebration of Russia’s
success against Ukraine and their allies
to reports this exhibition will be
organized into thematic zones with
informative stamps providing context and
details about each equipment according
to reports the exhibition will showcase
Weaponry from 12 different countries
this includes the United States UK
Germany France Australia Ukraine and six
more Nations
among the exhibits are leopard tanks the
German made mder infantry Fighting

similar event held last year at Patriot

a range of captured Western military
