There appears to be great confusion as to why Israel is in Eurovision. It's because they are a member of the EBU. This year Azerbaijan and Georgia are in the competition. Jordan, Lebanon, Morrocco, Tunisia and Turkey also qualify to enter if they wish. Morocco has entered before. Australia has an open ended invite. I hope that helps.
