Desperate Russian soldiers use potatoes and sticks to defend against Ukrainian drones

A desperate Russian soldier hurled a sack of potatoes at a Ukrainian drone to save his life as the UAV exploded near his feet. Video shows the soldier walking in a field carrying the sack of potatoes over his shoulder as the drone moves in for the attack. The soldier spots the danger and throws the sack of potatoes at the drone which explodes on impact. Clearly shaken, the terrified Russian soldier flees towards a nearby forest. More footage shows another desperate Russian soldier evading an FPV drone attack by hitting it with a stick. Putin’s man can be seen ducking for cover as the drone approaches him. He throws a stick at the drone and successfully manages to take it out, before running away. The war in Ukraine has been characterised by drone deployment of unprecedented scale, with thousands of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used to track enemy forces, guide artillery and bomb targets. The tiny, inexpensive FPV (first-person view) drone has proved to be one of the most potent weapons in this war, where conventional warplanes are relatively rare because of a dense concentration of anti-aircraft systems near front lines. The total cost of the drone’s components, including an explosive warhead secured with cable ties, can be as little as $500 or less.
Drones have been used in warfare for decades – pilotless, radio-controlled aircraft were tested as far back as World War One. But the war in Ukraine has seen an explosion in the scale with which they’re deployed. They have transformed from performing specialized functions to becoming one of the most important and widely used weapons on the battlefield. The deployment of smaller drones, which was inconsistent at the beginning of the war, has now become extremely organised, with UAVs now integrated into Ukraine’s armed forces structure. Almost every fighting brigade has an assault drone company, while most units have small reconnaissance drones. The Ukrainian government aims to make a million FPV drones in 2024. To put that into context, it’s around double the number of artillery shells supplied by the entire European Union over the past year. #russia #ukraine #war

  1. THE GREATEST PLAGUE OF MAN !!

As war is fought it takes charge

And events spin out of control.

The madness of men can alter the soil

Which nourishes the roots of their soul.

    Many things will forever change

Far more then wished to be.

As the wrath of war starts to destroy

Those things we fight to keep free.

War is the greatest plague of man

    Religion, state, and sanity.

    Any scourge is more preferred

Than the one which disables humanity.

When war breaks out, boundaries change

And all who die are a token

Of the rage that must run its course

Before words of peace are spoken.

War I hate, though not men, flags nor race

But war itself with its ugly face.

When we lose faith in the brave, which die

Then we're not fit to greet those who cry.

    What distinguishes war isn't death

But that man is slain by fellow man.

    Crushed by cruelty and injustice

    With his enemy's murderous hand.

War tends to punish the punishers

So the losers won't suffer alone.

The essence of war is but violence

Till the survivors come crying home.

  3. Funny how the ukraine side havent won the war against a "struggling" putin. Propoganda. Putin has sent his reserves and is having a laugh. The western world havent "won". All this time. Against desperate soldiers. Pull the other one

  4. All that Russian propaganda in Youtube boasting how high-tech their military is. Then now Russian soldiers default back to the old stick and potatoes.

  5. What kind of world we are living where people enjoy a man desperate for his life dying. Is this Armageddon? Oh lord! do we deserve your mercy? I know you are understanding that we are mislead by some people in hating each other. We always knew the truth but we never accepted it.

  6. I want Russia and Putin to lose but it’s kinda gross that people are laughing at men running and fighting to stay alive and using anything they can including the food they need in order not be killed. These men have families but because they are forced to fight for Russia, people laugh at them. That’s f*cked up. No one chooses where they’re born.
