the SE Bel sign came on and as soon as I saw it I put my seat Bel on and at that very moment the plan just suddenly dro the thing I remember the most was just seeing objects and things flying through the air and I was in cof next to me it was incredibly severe turbulence I mean as I say I’ve traveled a lot had a few shakes in my time nothing anywhere close to this it only when I looked behind me that I realized the severity of some of the oxygen masks have come down um there poor elderly leing and a g on a head covered in

The,aircraft fell 6000ft or 1.14 miles in under 3 mins so there was bound to be casualties, it was so sudden and so quick you really don’t have time to do anything.
I was bumped from a flight from Madrid to the US that dropped like that and barrelrolled. Overhead bins broke open, etc. The pilot happened to be a stunt plane pilot as a hobby, and, using his skills, was able to bring the plane back under control. That was 78 or 79.
The airline tried to blame pilot error, but, it was discovered that there was auto pilot takeover that the airline knew about. Several other planes had this happen but, they all crashed and everyone on those flights were unalived.
The pilot was totally exonerated I believe 7 years later thanks to documented communications, memos, etc.
That's so terrifying, I can't imagine my self being inside that plane. 😰😞🙏
I think going forward I’ll pee myself in the seat if I really need to pee. I’m never leaving the seat or seatbelt
This is why you are told to keep your seatbelt on when seated, even if the seatbelt sign is off.
Although I'm not saying the dead/injured were seated but not wearing belts. But this is a perfect example of why to not ignore that safety advice.
Turbulence is invisible. You don't know it's there until you fly into it.
Belt up when seated. It might just save your life.

Only in moment to the washroom with off with the seatbelt and on. I always have it on loose at least it's quicker to tighten if anything like that and I saw once not that bad but enough to have it on always why not on loose at least you have it always on and stuck to the seat.
I share the sentiment that you should keep your seatbelt on while seated. With this level of turbulence, I could see how people were injured even while wearing their seatbelt.

Strange this , id think the pilots have sufficient radar coverage to identify weather patterns. I wonder if the turbulence wasnt picked up.
I hate flying. It is terrifying even when everything goes smoothly.
