It’s unfortunate but the only way Carboni would ever get a chance is if Thuram and Lautaro got severe injury for the whole season or they got sold last minute and we’re unable to get any replacement. At least that’s what happened to Bisseck and Dimarco. We wouldn’t have ever discovered how good Bisseck is if the whole backline wasn’t accidentally injured and Dimarco would still be a bench player if we had more money to extend Perisic. In another timeline those two would’ve been in plusvalenza talk for next season.
