  1. 50 Years since leaving the shores of Europe, but WWII is engraved in my DNA. A fading memory now, but such an overpowering influence on my early life. A free world is worth fighting for, but it would be better for all concerned if those who wish to control the world, were not given a chance to begin with! Remember that when you vote in your democracies…

  2. My dad was a Spitfire pilot and joined up in 1941 with his brother. I remember him playing Tom Jones records when I was a little girl back in the late 60's and how he shared Sir Tom's music with so many family and friends back then. He passed away in 1985 of a massive heart attack. Sure miss you Dad!

When is the world going to learn to live in peace!!

  5. Then there’s our PM
    absolute disgrace beneath contempt.
The Legend sings and even Rod Stewart abandons his concert for this occasion !

  6. At the Tehran Conference in 1943, Stalin sent Roosevelt and Churchill each a case of Soviet champagne. In 1944, the Allies decided to open a Second Front.

  7. I heard this for the first time today and then found the original by Bernice Johnson Reagon. Its a truly incredible song! Blessings to all peoples everywhere, especially those caught up in conflict. X🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇪

  8. Here's a long shot, I heard a great Tom Jones song on the radio today but the guy didn't say what it was called. It had a country feel to it and it was basically about a guy who had travelled all across America, mentioning many towns and cities, presumably for work with his wife who had always stood by him… Any Jones the voice experts out there ?
