just a month and a half left to go before the Paris Olympics this summer and preparations are still underway Bridges major landmarks it seems like every inch of Paris is undergoing a major facelift for the event I walked past a month ago and construction was just starting it’s crazy how fast they work around the Alexander third Bridge workers are focusing on these huge grandstands they need to be completed by the end of the month for the opening ceremony but also for the tri event expected to take place in the sun just a few hundred meters away plast La conord will host the urban Sports more than 200 construction workers are deployed here every day to build the Olympic halfpipe ramps for the freestyle BMX and skateboarding competitions this huge metal structure will be covered to create a marquee for the 3 X3 basketball matches we have two Arenas that are almost done for the skate park in freestyle these Grand stands are going to be up to 12 m high on the avalid the biggest archery stadium in the world will soon see the light of day 8,000 Spectators are expected for the event we’re at the heart of the stadium so the grand stands will be on each side of this field as ladders and cranes take over the streets of Paris so do police forces diverting traffic away from building sites and cornering off large parts of the capital where 10 to 15,000 people are expected this summer
With less than two months to go until the 2024 Summer Olympics kick off in Paris, preparations are still underway in the French capital. While key landmarks undergo a facelift, ramps and seating for various Olympic sports are being set up across squares and bridges, in some cases snarling traffic and inconveniencing locals.
