‘Summit on Peace in Ukraine’ ends in agreement – but Russia was not there

nearly 80 countries signed onto an a statements expressing support for Ukraine saying that the country’s territorial Integrity must form the basis of any peace deal with Russia The Summit in auan Switzerland was built as a first step towards peace but Russia was not invited to the conference and moscow’s key Ally China did not attend for the latest let’s go to Claudia lavanga who is following the story for us Claudia good morning what more did the countries agree on good morning Francis well that final document as you mentioned says that the UN Charter as well as respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine should serve as the basis for a just and Lasting peace now let’s take a listen to what Jake salivan the National Security adviser had to say about that the vision of peace that was put forward here today from so many different countries rooted in principles all of us signed up to rooted in principles all of us would like to live in a world that are ruled by those principles because they make us all safe this is the right Vision as we go forward now the demand for territorial Integrity clashes completely with what Vladimir Putin said just ahead of that Summit he said that the war will not end until Ukraine withdraws from all four provinces Russia claims it had annexed since the start of the invasion and of the war well keev and other Western allies said that that is not a peace offering but it’s a request to surrender now as you mentioned Russia and China did not participate uh in that Summit but also those who signed the 78 countries didn’t manage to persuade many other states who are not aligned especially from the GL Global South to sign that document and no country offered to host an eventual second uh peace Summit so in a way uh perhaps the best way to describe the outcome of this peace Summit comes from the president of Switzerland who in the closing remarks uh said well the the road is long and challenging thanks for watching our YouTube channel follow today’s top stories and breaking news by downloading the NBC News app

    We as Americans need to pull our weight in this war. Please we need a National Sales tax on fast food and Groceries. I'm thinking 6% will get us in this fight. 😊

  22. Why were the representatives of the five republics where the overwhelming majority of the inhabitants had decided in referendums to s[lit off from Ukraine? Don't they have a say in their future? Why was Victor Janukovych not invited? He is the last Ukrainian president who was chosen before the coup in the last serious democratic elections. He won on an pro-neutrality agenda two years after Ukraine was invited in NATO. Can the comedian who won the election on false promises in an election where only pro-NATO candidates could participate while his term has ended represent the citizens of Ukraine?

Who will Russia support if Inda China Wr begins?… Will Zelensky and Ukraine reject Inda for Permanent UNSC with all proofs of Inda's backstabbng and rejected Ukraine Peace Plan?
