Ugly
Zero.
Can’t tell if it’s an end of terrace (30s? Victorian?) that’s had a modern extension/rebuild, or a really bad modern house – that bay window at the front looks like a right cheap bodge job.

[Postmodern](https://www.architecture.com/explore-architecture/postmodernism), a style most popular in the 80s-90s.
If you browse [RIBA’s photo gallery](https://www.ribapix.com/search?q=&customSpecificationAttribute_1=&customSpecificationAttribute_27=&customSpecificationAttribute_28=UK%3A&customSpecificationAttribute_29=&customSpecificationAttribute_32=Exterior&customSpecificationAttribute_33=Post+Modern&customSpecificationAttribute_34=0&customSpecificationAttribute_35=&customSpecificationAttribute_36=0&customSpecificationAttribute_37=0&customSpecificationAttribute_40=Houses&customSpecificationAttribute_From_30=&customSpecificationAttribute_To_30=&customSpecificationAttribute_From_31=&customSpecificationAttribute_To_31=) you’ll find other pomo houses with similar motifs. Although most of those are fancy houses for rich people, whereas this is a more modest house. You’ll find loads of these in places like Wapping, Limehouse, Rotherhithe etc – anywhere that underwent redevelopment in the mid-80s – late 90s.
Identifiers to look for:
– “playful” geometry & shapes – like the circular window
– simplified forms from classical architecture – the pediment (trianglular roof part) here
– the striped brickwork (reminiscent of the Isle of Dogs pumping station, and Number 1 Poultry)
Amateur weed lab
Aspiring Dr’s surgery.
Is it a brothel but didn’t want to go with a red light?
