Is there a reason why people still park like this?

Other than letting everyone else know you're a wanker.

  1. The only place this is OK is ones like Holywood Exchange, because their stupid system of using bricks that are 1/2 shade different from the regular ones means you need to get out and examine the lines before being able to identify where the spaces are.

  2. Some do it cause they have to. The vast majority do it cause they want to.

  3. I used to get unhappy about this, but now I only do it if I see them park- because I parked like this once! There was one spot left and the car next to mine was half into the space, then they left before I got back and I looked like the asshole ;p.

  4. On the one hand it’s a wankery move but I’ve also been sat in my car when someone’s opened their door into mine. They walked off pretending nothing happened and when I got out and confronted her she gave me dogs abuse, called me all the names under the sun and told me I had no idea what other people have going on in their lives. So you can’t fucking win 🤷🏻‍♂️ also spaces are too tight.

  5. >Is there a reason why people still park like this?

Because everyone can afford to finance a 10 year old German saloon but they can’t afford to fix the day to day wear and tear (like door dings and scratches) that come with using one as a shopping / city runaround.

  6. It can happen that at the time that person parked, the 2 cars beside it were over their lines leaving just that one space barely big enough for him, then when the other 2 leave that guy ends up looking like an asshole.

Clearly not what happened here though as there were plenty of available spaces. It doesn’t ususally happen at short stay carparks, though only really office and apartment carparks.

  7. Actually met one of these types a few weeks back at work. Very few spaces left, limited options for me trying to park a few vans. I asked her to move into one spot, and was met with “oh but I like to be able to make sure I can open my door”. Think it was an Audi A1, or similar. I replied with “yeah but I’m looking to park a van, and this is the only spot I can get to”. She moved to a spot more suited (carpark was part outdoor, part low roof. She could use the low roof side). I parked 2 lwb transit’s into her 2 spaces that she “needed”. I was very tempted to park the smaller 3rd van beside her car door.

Some people are just a mixture of entitlement, ignorance and idiocy x

  8. Short answer, cunts.

Long answer, they think that car’s valuable enough that they need to keep other people further away from it in case of dents or scratches.

  9. Satanism.

It creates resentment and frustration which the demons feed on. The people doing this are among the most wretched creatures in existence.

  10. Because they are cunts

Alos, why are you blocking out their plate? Fuck them

  11. It’s a mix of entitlement and young smicks driving a car the can’t afford to run/repair.
