June hits historic heat record, 36 million Americans under warning | Senior climate scientists warn that these rising temperatures bring us closer to a crucial limit set by the Paris Agreement.
American says in response- “Sorry, gotta drive my Suburban to pick up my six kids, stop for a bag of burgers and go to the Taylor Swift concert. Just wish it wasn’t so hot. 🤷♂️”
The global average temperature might not have been breached, but depending where you live it has already exceeded reasonable temperatures. That includes winter temperatures rising substantially even if summer temperatures are still just a few degrees beyond historical levels.
It’s ok, that agreement wasn’t real, a country can just drop out whenever it’s convenient. /s
