Of course we will fumble. It reeks of Laporta and Messi saga all again.
I think Nico is ready to make his decision, prefers us, but we’re dragging our dicks bc of this 1:1 stuff. I thought the Nike money would cover our initial incomings until outgoing are settled, but that must not be correct. If we got offered Nico’s fee or more for FDJ(crucify me!), that’s a trigger I would pull bc his ankle injuries are too much for me.
The longer it takes the more we may make his departure from Bilbao toxic.
Everything I’ve heard from the Bilbao end was that he would stay another year. Everything I’ve heard from here says that we’ll bring him in. And the English press is absolutely sure some team of the Prem big 6 will take him.
Romano said he’s closer to Barça than to the prem, and at least there have been meetings with his agent, but it’s hard to know what’s really happening.
