They Called Me Crazy For Even Suggesting This…

  1. The Euros is when he started gaining the hype(and rightly so), but anyone watching Barca this season knows that this kid was just built different from the start, starting with the game at Villarreal, to the game at Betis, all the way to the brace against Granada(at least I think it was Granada). He is one of the best wingers in the world, and I would even say top 5 regardless of which wing you are speaking about.

  2. inaki, palmer, kvaratskhelia, nico, gordon, bowen

There are probably even more. Yamal had a great Euros but that doesn’t take away from the rest of the season where a bunch of player were well ahead of him.

  3. La liga is not that popular in the media so many people who watch other leagues don’t know about him

If he was doing it in the epl he would have been hyped up crazily like foden

He’s basically getting the hype mbappe got after the World Cup now

  4. It is still not the time to start calling him one of the best players.

It is very easy to reach this level, compared to how hard it is to mantain it. The best thing is to exercise caution with such words.

Lamine Yamal has done absolutely nothing yet because he is 17, his career has barely started and he has only played a single season, we’ve seen tons of one-season wonders that are quickly forgotten because they couldn’t maintain the level.

To name one Ben Arfa was literally Messi, briefly, and it would have been perfectly valid to put him at the level of Messi if it was just for that period of shining. He did the easy thing which is reach Messi level, the nearly impossible thing is maintain that level for at least a couple years, let alone over a decade like Messi did.

So Lamine’s job right now is work harder than ever to cement the reputation he currently has.
