I would buy one but except it doesn't have WhatsApp or any web based messenger service. I need to be able to text and send pics efficiently and to be able to call family overseas for free using WhatsApp. If it had this, I'd be a customer.

They want to take away the ability to hold them accountable…
No apps: shows calculator app
No addictive apps: claims it has an internet browser
some dumbphones have some apps preinstalled though like Whatsapp and FB and YouTube.
I doubt that simplifies phone would deal with addiction or poor management of time. It would create a time vacuum that person couldn't manage to fill with another activity and will come back to the previous phone
