they paid ~15 bill. It sounds like they got a good deal due to all the recent controversy so they took the gamble. For contrast, ethopia recently purchased 20 of that same model for 11 bill.
Well its literally either Boeing or Airbus, that’s it, that’s your choices, regardless of where you live in the world. So an either-or decision isn’t really a vote of confidence, especially since geopolitical decisions probably heavily influenced the decision – with the US leaning on SK, its biggest ally, to support an American company.
It was the only choice America would let SK make, likely.
