I was cleaning the cooker hood with this stuff, its good stuff and works well.

Normally i would give the surface a light spray of this elbow grease, and then place some jitchen roll over it and then spray to soak the tissue. Been doing it this way for ages, and with different cleaning sprays.

Somehow this blue cleaning towel has reacted to the elbow grease and has now transferred the blue dye.

I have approximately 25 mins before my wife gets back.

So long and farewell! Wish me luck!

And to the makers of Elbow Grease, maybe a chang of name to Elbow Grief.

  1. Use some elbow grease and kitchen roll to get it out. Seriously it should work!

  2. Would love to know how well it did the cooker hood though? Been looking at getting some degreaser again.

PS: Tell her that’s how it’s ALWAYS looked.

  3. Grab the least abrasive green scourer you have (do you retire old ones to the bathroom?) and try scrubbing away with water only first and if not then maybe with a tiny amount of washing up liquid. Maybe alcohol wipes, if you have any on hand. Good luck, please keep us updated!

By the way, where did you buy the black version of elbow grease? I’d love to know, and how much it cost too.

  4. Ah yes, we all learn the hard way about blue roll sooner or later. The good news is it’s soft, so if you stuff a cushion cover with it you’ll have something nice to put your head on tonight when you’re on the sofa.

  5. Ultra grime pro power scrub wipes. In dulux, johnstones brewers they’re about £15

  6. How the hell can they get away with saying Solvent Free? How can it work without a solvent, especially given what it’s done?

  7. Never before have I been so genuinely desperate for an update to a Reddit post.
