  1. How can he say these things when he knows that he and the couches he loves will never reproduce?

  2. Vance was stupid for that.

    >”You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, the entire future of the **Democrats is controlled by people without children**.”

I can see why having children could be important when discussing topics in Family Law (like child care, child support, foster care, etc.) but other than that, this is so random and a pathetic insult. P.S. Vance forgot that these guys advocate for laws to better protect children and teachers from school shootings, not to mention, expand healthcare. Both of these are bills that YOU oppose but would benefit children.

  3. ‘Childless Conservative couples want IVF? Denied! Now if you’ll excuse me I need to get back to insulting childless couples bc only Liberal couples are childless.’ – JD ‘oblivious’ Vance

  4. “god, trump makes being a total dick and getting cheered for it look so easy!”

    – vance, probably

  5. I want to point to the obscure choice to quote they have here, the wife of Justin Amash

“I’m a right-leaning woman who agrees with almost nothing the Biden-Harris administration has done, but the primal hatred and disgust Vance stokes in me transcends politics. I suspect I am not the only woman of my vintage, so to speak, who feels this way.”

Amash’s family has gotten a lot of free press as our primary nears.

  6. Yeah…..when you pick a loser of a guy….you get a LOT of loser guy friends.

    Enjoy your choices!

  7. I contributed money to a politician for the first time in my life. Obama told us Joe was a good dude, but holy shit, I had no idea. He actually is… Joe is willing to step down! From here on I just want to see Biden and Obama chilling at the beach. Earned.

  8. Attacking women for not having children while trying to make it impossible to not have children is a really bold move.

Attacking Buttigieg for not having children while he has 2 was also a choice.

They sure are trying to piss off a *lot* of people.

  9. Most of these same conservative women will still vote for Trump, despite all “protesting”, “turning on them”, etc…

Cult people do what cult people do.

  10. Considering that younger people are likely to go for Harris by a huge margin, JD may end up concluding that children are overrated. My own child, who will be voting for the first time this November, is chomping at the bit to vote against Trump et al.

  11. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.newsweek.com/conservative-women-jd-vance-childless-democrats-kamala-harris-1930239) reduced by 83%. (I’m a bot)

    > A number of conservative women have criticized Donald Trump's running mate, Senator JD Vance, after his "Childless cat ladies" comment reemerged.

    > "We're effectively run in this country-via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs-by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too," Vance said, adding, "You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we've turned our country over to people who don't really have a direct stake in it.”

    > JD Vance says women who haven't given birth like Kamala Harris are "Childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives," and have "No direct stake" in America.

  12. It’s almost as if just being a giant asshole isn’t the sound strategy it was in 2016

  13. Every woman quoted in this article only takes offense on behalf of women who want to have kids but don’t for various reasons. Might be worth someone pointing out that those who choose to not have kids are also allowed to care about the future of the country they live in.

  14. Give JD a show on prime time.

    Please speak some more JD

    Tell us all your ideas

  15. You hear that? You’re a step/foster/adoptive parent? Doesn’t count! You’re a teacher with decades of teaching but no biological kids? No stake! But the guy with 5 kids by three women, all of whom he cheated on? The guy who sometimes forgets about some of his kids? The one who also told big oil they could destroy the environment as long as they gave him $1 billion dollars? Yeah, that guy *really has a stake!* according to Vance.

  16. It’s like the book-banning illiterate MAGAs are unable to read “Lighter-fluid” on the bottle they’re pouring onto the dumpster fire that is Trump/Vance ’24, trying to put it out.
    Fucking remarkable to watch.

  17. This is the craziness you would expect if liberals had infiltrated the Republican party to sabotage it. I’m not saying that is remotely true, just that’s how crazy some of the shit Trump and JD are saying is.

  18. What are they offering to encourage people to start families? The GOP takes away any and all social safety nets. We can’t even guarantee a kid gets a free lunch at school. They have no plan to help the plebeians. Everyone is lazy. No one wants to work. Women are to blame for the decline in population…. The GOPs greatest hits right there.

I’m sure a lot of people want to have children. Unfortunately the decision has probably been made for them. Stagnant wages, lack of adequate healthcare, childcare being expensive, and the cost of living keeps going up. Create incentives for people. I’d rather my tax dollars go towards kids having school lunch, healthcare, and overall well-being than give more subsidies to cooperations.

I do not have children by choice. I absolutely have a stake in America. I have nieces and nephews. I care about the world they’re going to inherit.

  19. Fucking idiot. He took a significant segment of the population (childless women) that’s probably not overly liberal as a whole, if at all, and turned them all against him/Trump. What are the chances Trump dumps him?

  20. I’m also bothered by the line about democrats being ruled by corporate oligarchs. That’s pretty cheeky for Mr. venture capital bro to say.

  21. My aunt, who is a fairly conservative, childless, cat lady, did not appreciate Vance’s comment.

She called him a hick. Made me smile. 😌

  22. This is what pisses off republican women?? A cat lady comment but not “ you can grab them by the pussy.” Unreal! Also I’m a former republican woman who will continue to vote democratic until the rest of u come to your senses. How did we get here!!! For the love of Christ I don’t understand.

  23. This may be hard to hear for any conservative woman who reads this, but fuck you. Now you’re affected. Now it’s serious. You probably still don’t see everything else wrong. There’s a lot. It’s not fake news. You’re voting for millions of people to feel how you feel right now, and you’ve been doing it out of pure gleeful spite. Get wrecked.

  24. I (44) am a childless cat lady. I desperately wanted a child and the reason I don’t have one is quite tragic. Very few people in my life know the true reason. Most people just assume I didn’t want children. It took a lot of healing on my part to get to the point of acceptance and then being content with not having a child. Comments like JD Vance’s basically stating that I don’t matter because I don’t have a child are very hurtful. I have 9 nieces and nephews. I absolutely care about the future of this country for their sake.
