trip with grandparents

Hey everyone, my grandparents are coming to visit me in Hamburg and it's their first trip abroad. I've planned an itinerary to show them around Europe, but I'm worried that the cities I've chosen might all look similar to them and that the trip might be too tiring. The cities I'm planning to cover are Berlin, Prague, Austria, and Munich. Please keep in mind that both of them are around 70 years old when making your suggestions. https://wanderlog.com/plan/ryfiwcjzrquotrov/trip-to-berlin-prague-and-more/shared

  1. How many days have you planned? Have you planned rest days, too, or are all of them packed with sight seeing? Lastly, you know your parents best. What do they actually want to see?

  2. Covering that much distance with elderly folks is a not so great idea.

Chances are high that your grandparents want to focus on visiting you, not do a “today it is Tuesday, so this must be Salzburg” race around Central Europe.

Ask what they want to do. I am willing to bet that they will enjoy a picknick at Planten and Bloomen with you far more than they will enjoy travelling to Vienna.

I would take it easy. Do daytrips to Lüneburg and to Helgoland or Sylt. Show them around Hamburg. Take them to the pool and visit ARRIBA in Norderstedt. Plan on letting them chill and relax every second day, unless they want more activities. (Unlikely). This alone will easily occupy them for up to 14 days.
