HomeWorldConflictsTank from the 5th Assault brigade firing on Russian position protecting a BMP while being under very heavy shelling somewhere near Bakhmut
Incredible footage. Ukraine had total situational awareness the whole time thanks to multiple drones on overwatch and an effective command operation. The landscape is mind blowing, especially at the end as the tank spins around and you see that artillery has been landing all around them. Strong WW1 vibes.
Armchair analyst opinion here: We’ve got to get them more capable/survivable armour and just shit loads of drones. I’d actually say they need drones more than super expensive Brimstone or Javelin (although these must also be available). I was just waiting for a Russian FPV which would have killed a T80. The tank crew is experienced and knows what they are doing. We need to up their survivability.
When Russia eventually gets a fire mission through their chain of command, they are super effective as carpeting the whole area with shells, as we see here. So still a lot of counter artillery capability needed.
What did they just accomplish? seems like they shot a few times and went home
Looks like the moon with all the craters
It’s like Verdun of La Somme during the WW1. Incredible. The crew needs balls…
The automatic subtitles appeared on my app, fantastic. In my opinion, the T-80 was the best Soviet tank (it can reverse).
