It has been weeks since the euros ended and Barca haven’t made a single signing. But the biggest shit show exists in the fact that Nico Williams has yet to be announced as a Barca player and the pre season is about to begin. What on earth is Deco doing? Why is Athletic Club in a position to seem more appealing to Nico? Why hasn’t Barca pushed all of its resources into signing the player?

I get that the player is being pressured by his family and home club to stay but Barcelona should maximize its pull because if Nico stays for another year he will cost 100 million and we will go into the season without a crucial player we desperately need when Real Madrid have signed Mbappe after winning the champions league and La liga.

A lot of talk is happening around Dani Olmo being the “plan B” if Nico doesn’t get signed… this is not even a plan, Dani Olmo is not even the equivalent both in terms of talent and in terms of position. It’s also currently the middle of the transfer window and we are running out of time, and there is 0 news about a CDM. What the fuck happened to Zubimendi? What the fuck happened to any news of a CDM for that matter?

On top of that we have sold 0 players. Not a single player has been sold for big or even medium money. Nico Williams is legit the saving grace for Barca this transfer window and we can’t even manage to get him. In 2022 we were in worse financial conditions and signed Lewandowski, Kounde, Christensen, Kessie and Raphinha. This now seems like it happened a decade ago, because Deco replaced Alemany in the worst way possible.

If Nico Williams’ arrival at Barcelona is delayed for another season, we will have to forget about signing Haaland next summer let alone any big players as well because most of the money would go to a player we should have gotten this summer.

Barcelona’s board is still a circus since the days of Bartomeu, this time we have different clowns and a different show. We are an embarrassment in new ways now.

  2. It’s been reported for days that Barca is ready to pay his release clause and they’re just waiting for his approval. What else do expect them to do? And frankly Nico isn’t really all that so f him

  4. The only thing embarrassing is this post. William have his wishes regardless of what we offer him. We are ready to go, he is not yet. And that’s totally fair…
