  1. I was so nervous for him! so much pressure.

loved seeing the team goof around and have fun. seems like it worked to fend off the jitters. amazing result for team USA.

  2. He goes from Clark Kent on the sidelines to Superman on the pommel horse.

I kind of wondered how well he was able to see while he was doing his routine without his glasses. Imagine swinging and spinning like that with everything a beautiful blur.

  3. I’m legit obsessed with this kid. They caught him between rotations at a meet just casually solving a Rubik’s cube once.

  4. Two things – how bad must your vision be to wear glasses that thick and STILL squint?

    and

Thank you NBC Comcast for not calling him the Harry Potter of Gymnastics.

  5. Superman status the way he took off the glasses and juat killed it. Bummed they didn’t stay at Silver.

  6. Is he for the shooting competition? He looks like he will do great in that

  7. Obsessed with him. I’ve been rooting for him since before he was left off the Tokyo team. His time has finally come!

  8. He was definitely “The Guy” the American gymnastics team is so impressive. Too bad NBC isn’t showing the medal ceremonies for these amazing athletes..

  9. That was amazing how all three guys came through on the pommel to put the US into a medal for the first time in 16 years. The first two nailed it while this guy sat in the back with his eyes closed.

Came up and killed the toughest routine, and went and put his glasses back on right away.

    My spirit animal….lol.

  10. A really beautiful moment captured. I love the Olympics! Go men’s gymnastics team!

  11. I loved how the moment he took his glasses off, he was squinting at the pommel horse like, “Wait…Where is it?” 😆

  12. Baller for sure.

I know nothing about gymnastics scoring, but I watched the Chinese gymnasts fall (or come as close to it as possible) on like 5 separate occasions, how the fuck they hold silver?

  13. The amount of nerves I felt FOR him just sitting there waiting. I mean he clearly had it in the bag, but it’s like “we’re bringing in the specialist” and then he just sits there forever in anticipation. Glad he got his moment to shine. I know it’s a team effort, but being last, it really did feel like HE won them the bronze.
