In Russian: “Who does it belong to ?” “Us” “Whats it carrying ?” “Wounded”. “Shoot it down”
Okay I made it up, but Russia doing what it does best.
It’s amazing how instead of being perceived as “the opposition is strong”, they rather it be “we’re just idiots and have no clue what we’re doing”
Yay!
Russia eliminating the Nazi threat they were talking about
there are rumours in Z comunity that it was air-to-air drone strike
Is **Milo Minderbinder** Russian?
If it moves shoot it OMG
Hows the storrage-situation look like in Russia atm? They cant be having much working stuff left to throw at the Ukrainians?
It always makes me feel ill to compliment russians for anything, even if it helps the cause of freedom and justice.
Maybe just a casual “congratulations on the successful operation” would be sufficient.
From the perspective of a former ADA soldier:
We rely on two things when it comes to short range air defense. (NOTE: We don’t know what shot this down, it could have been something longer range that won’t fit what I’m going to write)
Visual identification and IFF. Visual identification can be hard if both sides are using the same equipment. IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) systems also won’t work if not configured properly.
Short example: Before Desert Storm, the French sold Gazelle helicopters to Iraq. When we got there, I was attached to the French 6th DLB which had Gazelle helicopters. I almost shot down a French Gazelle one day, because it had an IFF that was malfunctioning. My Stinger missile identified it as neutral/unknown when it should have pinged as allied. The only reason I didn’t kill it is because my team leader saw the french flag on it at the last second – I had the missile powered and was elevating it to kill.
That helicopter saw me with a SAM pointed at them and bugged out of there quickly.
**ALL THAT TO SAY:** It is possible they mis-identified it visually or the IFF stuff wasn’t working right, so they thought it was Ukrainian. Still shouldn’t have happened though.
These fuckwits would infinitely prefer to say that it was their own incompetence than to give the Ukrainians any credit.
One of aviation-related Z-channels says that it was taken down by an Ukrainian UAV.
Take away all their phones, no comms, this is the result
