NATO and the West better start building up their militaries fast.
The problem with nuclear blackmail is where do you finally call the bluff? If Putin can get X with nuclear blackmail, then he'll move on to Y, and if that works he'll move on to Z. You might as well simply stop him at X and be done with it, and, perhaps just as importantly, discourage others from doing the same thing.
China will most certainly not be part of a militatry pact with N Korea, Iran and Russia. If Russia's is relying on old Soviet era machinary and have really not made any movent of significance in eastern Ukraine I'm pretty certain that N Korea and Iran will be snuffed out in short order. China knows that their economy will hit the buffers as has Russia's. Putin is quite happy to plunge his people back into the dark ages, for his pet projects. NATO, S Korea, Australia, etc thrown into the mix!
The Germans seem to have the intellectual deficit that reckons that if Russia uses nuclear weapons that they will somehow be magically protected.
Define long range: 500km, 1000km, 2000km, 3000km, 5,000km????
What about the attack submarines , if they follow the U.S. subs they each have 24 missiles each with 7 independant warheads each equivealent to Hiroshima ? that is over 60 per ship , if we have 3 subs that is about 180 nukes ?

This interview sounds like comments by a audiencen succesfully shook up by Putins nuclear threat propaganda. What the west can and can not do. While that presumed line has been crossed many times already. Under the constant threat of russia using its nuclear arms. The west should pay less attention to what putin is saying, and pay more attention to what he is doing to Ukraine. And help Ukraine accordingly! And give Ukraine the right to use their weapons as needed!

At 1.30 she says in reference to the missiles with a 2,000 mile range that would be based in Germany: "so if Putin does fire a tactical nuclear weapon we would be able to resoond to that". What an incredibly ignorant thing to say. That would never happen. It would be mass suicide. Not only would it quite literally be overkill, but the response from a russian nuclear submarine somewhere off the coast of Shotland would be immediate.
Another day another Times video crapping on about Putin losing. When the propaganda gas clears u will see a frozen conflict and a failed Ukrainian state. Putin or his equivalent will be fine. But you just watched 5 years of MI6 horseballs.

Totally naive to believe the story that you will be able to wipe out Russia's and China's nuclear arsenal while they are still in the silos or on the submarines. Russia and China do not sleep while the UK and Germany manufacture and deploy these missiles. By the way, where will they find the money. Europe is at risk of deindustrialisation. It means poverty.

UK has only storm shadow and Germany has the Taurus that Russia is currently jamming them in ukraine while Russia posseses multiple and various kinds of such missiles equiped with latest advanced technology which can reach britain in 7 minutes,Germany and UK are just puppy warmongers.
It'll certainly be interesting to see what kind of long-range weapons we are looking at developing with Germany, since we already have the stealthy cruise missile under development with the French to replace the storm shadow and we now have hypersonics under development through aukus.

Nato countries need to honor their financial commitment to NATO. They should be putting more into helping Ukraine tha th US since the threat is more proximate to them. US should not send nukes there, let the UK or France contribute the tactical nukes.
