I wasn’t even hungry until I saw the fries. Now I desire a dash of salt and said fries. Then of course the pint to take the thirst.
I’m a weirdo, I’ve never been a beer garden person. I go to the pub and drink in the evening but I can’t sit in/out side a pub during the day.
There’s a pub in Wapping, London that is literally right on the Thames – I can never remember the name, but it was the old hanging / execution dock. Beautiful in summer. Love the history.
The Royal Exchange in Hartpury Is beautiful on a clear day.
[Chaplin’s in Boscombe](https://www.chaplins-bar.co.uk/) for an evening. They’ve made such a cool little space out there with so much art and you’re bound to make friends.
I know Bill Bailey brought attention to it in one of his walks but the [Scott Arms in Kingston](https://www.thescottarms.com/) is amazing for views across Purbeck.
I love the thought of getting a pint and a bit of food. But I bet that was enough to make it only for a birthday treat!
It’s the one with the beer.
The oyster bar, Ellenabeich, Scotland. You lookout over a flooded slate quarry towards Luing, Scarba and Jura.
Saxon mill just outside Leamington Spa. Right on the river Avon with woods and a hiking trail to boot.
Quit smoking 👀
Square and Compass, Dorset
The Black Horse Inn outside of Maidstone has a fairly substantial seating area outside and a garden that overlooks the Kent Downs
No question at all, the Terrace of the Bulkely Hotel in Beaumaris. The view is utterly incredible, looking out over the Menai to the mountains of Eryri. Honestly, there’s nothing on earth more beautiful.
Bloody hell, as I’ve got older I’ve become a side salad connoisseur…that looks alright – have a splendid afternoon OP!
Norwich had some real crackers. Great place for a pint
Right behind the table of smokers, assuredly.
Duke of Cumberland Arms
Unicorn Inn
These pubs are near Midhurst, West Sussex. I live nowhere near them but I found them both absolutely enchanting when I visited. My local pub gardens are decent but the views aren’t quite the same as the South Downs.
The Port William in Trebarwith Strand is probs my all time fave. The Pilchard on Burgh island a close second.
Man i miss pub gardens, too bad you’ll end up spending about £20 on 2 drinks nowadays :’(

What’s in that sammitch? If we had pubs here, I’d go every day.
6 pints of Stella and a bag of Colombian.
That is a bloody lovely pub garden. Plenty of bushes to defile after a few carlings
Winyards gap in Dorset, you can see out from the garden for miles across Somerset towards the blackdown hills.
Pint of Erdinger in the Old Rydon Inn, Kingsteignton, Devon
Builder’s cracks of the lads who’ve knocked off early.
Car park of the leather bottle Colchester
Hard to find a pic that does it justice, but [The Chase Inn, Malvern](https://guide2.co.uk/worcestershire/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2018/11/chase-inn-malvern.jpg) is pretty amazing.
