  1. anyone know who the most decorated woman is?

    edit: appears to be

    # Larisa Latynina with 18

  2. does simone have a chance at tying this this olympics? I believe she has 9 medals right now. And there are 4 more gymnastic events lefts

  3. Congrats to the 6 swimmers that ever beat her. Lol I don’t recall ever watching her lose.

  4. I thought it’s Simone Biles, there are so many different records I think I got them all messed up

  5. There are too many medals available for swimmers.

It would be like if they gave sprinters different medals for 25m, 50m, 75m, 100m. And then started giving sprinters medals for the 150m. And then some more medals for a there and back wall touch run where you run and touch a wall and then return.

And then gave them more medals for running in a different style that’s slower than a sprint.

Nothing against the athlete in this case, just can’t believe how many swimming medals are available. Amazing that she got so many and she’s the best in the world at all this super niche swimming stuff.

  6. She’s obviously amazing but I think it’s a bit unfair to call Phelps and her the undisputed goats of the Olympics.

Swimming simply offers way more chances on medals. It’s literally impossible for any athlete outside of swimming to match these kind of numbers.

You’d have to be a Usain Bolt that also wins the long distance disciplines to come close, which is impossible.

  7. Her success underscores her dominance in the sport and her dedication to excellence.

  8. I was just in awe seeing how fast she moved in that gold medal race. She was a full body ahead of the silver and bronze winners.
