  1. >An impressive spectacle just before the kickoff of Standard-Club Brugge. Some three hundred Standard youth players came onto the field wearing white or red masks to speak out against racism. But a certain part of Club’s supporters could not appreciate the action.

    >They made a controversial gesture at the time, according to some the Kühnen salute. That is a variant of the Hitler/Nazi salute. People in the away box raised their arms in the air and spread their thumb, index and middle fingers. This gesture, too, has since been banned.

    >It is not the first time that some Club Brugge supporters misbehaved in this way. At the Super Cup against Union, they also made the salute. At that time, the police started an investigation. This may happen again.
