Kyiv released the first images of Ukraine’s F-16 fighter jets flying above the skies of Ukraine on Sunday (August 4) as President Volodymr Zelenskiy watched on.

  7. At this point when the war is effectively lost by Ukraine none of these jets especially in these ludicrous numbers will change anything. Ukraine got dozens of modernized Polish and Slovak MiG 29s. Almost all were lost. Ukraine can't even secure its airfields. Russians routinely destroy remaining Ukrainian jets (mostly former Polish ones) on the ground and in the air. You can read interview of top Ukrainian general Syrsky to the Guardian where he said that it would be impossible to use F-16s closer than 40 kilometers from the frontline, his predecessor Zaluzny in his interview to the Economist was far more pessimistic. According to him Russians were easily downing Ukrainian jets even near Dnieper city (whopping 140 miles from the front).
