As it should be. This is a K2, one of the earliest models.
Is the reference redacted, or are you literally meant to quote “K” at them?
Do you get a little plush phone box if you adopt it? and a GPS tracker?
‘I think mine’s died, it hasn’t moved’
Bet they just haven’t gotten around to posting it as a 1 bedroom apartment on Rightmove yet
It’s great we’re keeping these public toilets on the streets
Good to see some public toilets still around.
“Kiosk” not a phone box?
Hello I’d like to reach out about K(
)
Ahhh, good ol’ K Left Parenthesis. I know her well.
The one near me is used as a mini library in winter and it has hanging baskets in summer.
Im really upset that there calling it a kiosk
It’s in lovely condition, hope it stays that way!
Inspector Spacetime!
I genuinely saw someone using a box the other week. Wasn’t a red one though, which makes it even weirder
Do we really need these on our streets anymore?
I recognise their cultural, social, and historical significance. But there really isn’t any need for them anymore. If you need a place to keep defibrillators or plant baskets – you’ve got better options. Ditto with public toilets. Half the ones I see in London and other big cities seem to serve mainly as advertising space for prostitutes and drug dealers.
I love the classic British phone box. But we don’t need them on our streets any more. Protect them, preserve them. But put them in gardens, in parks, zoos, museums or any other private/semi-private space where they can be properly looked after.
Yeah, but it you see a 1960’s era police box, run. Those Dalek attacks are no joke.
this is equivalent of fireplace mantle in the living room.
No one is using it, it takes lot of room but people like to look at it.
What’s a Kiosk? That’s clearly a phone box.
I love cities leaving up culturally significant architecture just for the sake of it, but I really wish these didn’t all smell like piss.
They got rid of these beauties for those grotesque display ones.
Probably the only public toilet left in the town
Red Frame White Light…
New public urinal.
This is great if you need to call the speaking clock for the most accurate time in the UK.
I worked for BT and we got told one day we were getting a decommissioned phone box for the office as a decoration. We were all quite pleased and thought it would look nice for people visiting.

What turned up was one of the grey 80s eyesores.
