Sorry to ruin this for you guys: Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Nederlands and Poland had human zoos. Sometimes, it was organized with world fairs.
Also, the displayed persons were, usually, well payed to “perform” in these zoos. (Except maybe on Belgium)

Mama new western europe map just dropped
And we did it until 1994! 💪
Oh yeah the famous western moral superiority
Genuinely surprised we are not sicko for once.
At least they don’t have anyone in the basement
Should we tell them about Angelo Soliman?

Danmark is absolutly missing from this map. Their whole country is a zoo!
Akshually we also did it. Can we be in the cool guys’ club now?
Uncommon French W?
Oh the western degeneracy…
**continues cleaning up the toilet**
Now it’s called reality tv and docusoap.
ed? There is a zoo in germany where there is a human enclosure. You can go in buy chips, hotdogs etc… and go out.

(content of the article: Vienna had a human zoo inside of their regular zoo)
Get back into sicko-line!
Fairly sure Denmark did it once as a part of a project
To their defense — they wasn’t considerate “people” at the time…
[Basel is part of Germany confirmed](https://www.zoobasel.ch/de/aktuelles/blog/3/zoo-geschichte/160/voelkerschauen-im-zoo-basel/)
in our defence, they were not white people

We only did it because an older boy told us to
Hey, we didn’t exhibit people, they were just neapolitans
You aren’t truly from western Europe if you never exhibited humans in zoo.😔
I mean Eastern Europe just didn’t do it for money. But to this day you can go and watch them usually near trainstations in big cities.
Netherlands should be red
Talk about civilization…
If the last week has shown anything it’s that England has plenty of candidates for zoological study and display.
I would watch it.
That’s the real iron curtain.

Hey, we put them in zoos, you put them in palaces.

ah, this is of course a case where modern day germany is equal to its predecessors
Babe wake up, new definition of Western Europe just dropped
Well yeah, Its called congress of deputies, duh
Dude Europe did everything first. Other countries just followed our lead
I believe Sweden had lilleplutt landet in Liseberg where they had dwarfs as an attraction. Admitedly Liseberg is an amusement park and not a zoo
where else are we to keep the dwarves?
You should add another colour for « was exhibited in a zoo » and the colour Finland with that.
