Edit: And that spring in the foreground looks like the one that existed on Lübeck’s marketplace.
Hamburg
Lübeck?
Lübeck
Köln
Could also be Prague. The St. Vitus cathedral has a similar roof pattern.
Might be Lübeck.
maybe Augsburg the fountain is saying “Fuggerei-brunnen” to me baut i am not sure
Lübeck
Köln maybe
Literally any, with at least 2 temple towers. The list of possible candidates is too long.
I would guess that this is some creative collection that is supposed to resemble different german styles without specifically showing any buildings
Pretty sure it’s Lübeck before 1934. In the Background could be the Lübecker Dom (seen from the backside), the tower in the middle is likely St. Petri zu Lübeck, The gate could be a highly stylized Burgtor and the fountain is the Marktbrunnen, that was demolished in 1934. The building on the left – maybe the old Rathaus?
Are you sure it’s Germany? What about Basel, Switzerland?
Spalentor – the gate front right. Basler Brunnen – the fountain. Rathaus – Municipality the towered building in the second line Basler Münster – Cathedral in the background.
Nürnberg for sure. 👍
Wernigerode
Rathaus und Westerntor
Nürnberg
I throw Nürnberg in, Schöner Brunnen and St. Sebald
My first reaction was Speyer or Worms because of the massive cathedral and the gate tower. They also have a fountain, but look different in details and the towered house doesn’t ring a bell.

Any.
The pattern on the roof in the back reminds me of the Stephansdom in vienna
Köln, that the Dom and Groß St. Martin
Yes
The pattern on the roof very much reminds me of the Stephansdom in Vienna, Austria: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephansdom#/media/Datei:Wien_-_Stephansdom_(2).JPG
Your photo includes two church towers though, so no clue if it’s the right one.
Munich maybe?
OP do you know which towns they visited so we can exclude some?
Lübeck, looks like the Holstentor on the right. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holstentor?wprov=sfla1
The church in the back could be the Marienkirche https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marienkirche_%28L%C3%BCbeck%29?wprov=sfla1
And the one building in the front has similarities to the Rathaus. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%BCbecker_Rathaus?wprov=sfla1
