Shame we couldn’t have got an extra 1.7m Eur from somewhere.
Also hilarious Liverpool just refusing to acknowledge the transfer window with their perfectly balanced 0.00 net spend
But…but…you’ve bought the league and errr, 115 and urgh money and stuff.
You love to see it, and our academy grads are gonna be pivotal this year
Netspend.
First trophy of the season already in the cabinet.
I think we are doing okay in last 5 years also. Only first half under pep reign that we spend like crazy.
I’m not confident not spending any money after the near miss season that we had last year.. we need strengthening, especially right back and cdm and now we also need a capable back up striker..
Haven’t Chelsea bought like 100 players?
I get the Alvarez move, he will be one of the more high profile players in CL club and for us it’s excellent business. But it leaves me somewhat concerned by our lack of activity in the transfer market. I think we do need a striker now because Haaland will miss games. Yes, Foden can be used as a false nine and as much as I love to see guys like McAtee or O’Reilly step in and get a chance they are just so far off what we need in the big games, although I will be over the moon if they end up proving me wrong.
We are really just one or two injuries away from an injury crisis like we have been past couple seasons and it’s not sustainable way to maintain a squad. Guys like Nunes and Bobb need big seasons if we end up bringing no one else in because I can’t remember when I last felt so stale about the team.
Historically City tend to leave the business quite late so there is always the chace but it feels like Pep and Txiki are happy with what they got. I’m not saying we are not going to win the league and there is no reason to be excited about the up coming seascon but with Pep’s contract situation up im the air, the general lack of excitement in the transfer market and Arsenal being another season more experienced it wouldn’t shock me to see the historic title winning streak coming to end.
But I thought we were ruining the league 🤪
I hope that the Alvarez deal goes for 1.7 mil more.
Kinda biased though considering the only incoming player was Savinho on the cheap due to multi-club ownership
Yeah great… NOW HELP RODRI.
The academy year
Now sell some academy players and make it even more
Now do it since the takeover…and add wages, agent fees and the payments to players dads.
