  1. For some reason, I always find Australians interviewed at the Olympics to sound even more Australian than regular domestic interviews etc.

  2. One of the other girls in the heats had a pet duck too, named Richard – she kept his feather in her helmet.

    Ducks are in.

  3. If this duck doesn’t end up on instagram I’m going to be a little sad. If the duck doesn’t show for the 2028 games, I’m going to be pissed!

  4. Cuteness overload right here. I definitely will follow her Instagram account if she starts uploading daily duck pics.

  5. She’s going to be fawning all over the duck while her mom gets to fawn over her gold medal Olympian.

  6. She looks 16, but she talks like she’s 10. She has that cadence of a kid that hasn’t figured out how to breathe while talking yet. She might just be out of breath from skating though idk

  7. Where are the people horrified at how a young girl is being used to get medals for her country? I mean, you were so beautifully indignant for our Russian figure skaters …

  8. this is so cute/wholesome. they’re *big* kids…and so are still just *kids*!

  9. Arisa Trew must be protected at all costs.

I would say we need to ask Biden for a special Secret Service detachment for her, but given recent events I’m not sure that’d be particularly helpful.
