Yeah, it’s probably not good that Japan has been explicitly in violation of its own Constitution for years. Hopefully the process can go through without too much politicking.
America insisted upon that to stop them from trying to conquer the world again, like similar demands put on Germany, but it’s outdated and unnecessary at this point.
I mean Japan’s military has never done anything bad. No worries.

Yes, please. The Japanese need to be militarized again and get rid of American bases. Those bases house and protect criminals who kill, steal from, and rape Japanese citizens.
Maybe maybe maybe maybe acknowledge its war crimes and actually apologise and remove the monuments to said war crimes and war criminals and maybe the pacisfist constitution could be removed, because the military still rly proud of said war crimes and say the new people in the military are too “soft”.
Historically, it’s never a good sign for a region when a country experiences a huge relative shift in power with it’s neighbours.
Japan has gone from having the same GDP as China in 2008 to now having 1/4th.
The decline in power will likely increase their sense of paranoia and heighten possibility of doing things to maintain relevance.
And their demography pretty much guarantees a continuous decline for the foreseeable future.
When the next electric boogaloo gets going, Japan doesn’t want to be left out.

Agreeable. I trust Japan with having a much larger and overachring military. It will be needed for special peacekeeping operations against mainland China and Kimmy boy.
