I must say that i’m surprised how different the visualizations feel, despite showing the same data. I like yesterdays style more because the angle of the line makes you focus more on the difference in disciplines, although i do agree that the datapoints are a bit cramped together which makes it difficult to read. With this scatterplot the information is still there, but it is far less in your face. e.g. Laura and Molly in the scatterplot feel like an afterthought, whereas in the other graph your eyes immediately focus on how skewed towards lead their performances are.
Should be entirely separate disciplines
You wont see Usain bolt competing in a marathon. Expecting a boulderer to speed or sport climb is ridiculous
