Sorry but I feel like this every time this happens

  1. I quite like the cross country part of the eventing, wonderful seeing horses at full flight through a country setting

  2. Pentathlon is on, each athlete competes in fencing, swimming, showjumping, shooting and running to see who is the most worthy cowboy pirate

  3. Golf was awesome though all the big PGA stars were in it. Im biased tho Gooo Scotty🇺🇸🇺🇸🎆

  4. Sailing and golf for me. I’m mildly interested in equestrian.
I also have absolutely no interest in any team sports, but those are usually easy to “avoid” the coverage of

  5. Dude what, equestrian has been awesome. Bunch of horsies running and jumping in Versailles parkland, could it GET any better?

  6. Fine, I’ll watch sailing.

*The event is suspended due to the bad weather*

    Every day of the Olympics.

  7. Basketball and artists swimming for me. I would also include field hockey but luckily there is almost zero coverage of that by local broadcasting here. My back hurts just from watching that sport.

  8. I really don’t get the hate for golf. I dont find watching golf interesting for hours on end, but seeing the highlights, the big shots and the missed ones, and seeing how close the competition has been is quite exciting.

Slower, more technical sports have always been popular in the Olympics, this year more than ever. The shooting, the archery. Curling in the winter Olympics. Why not golf?

  9. I don’t necessarily dislike the sport, but in the US beach volleyball gets way more broadcast time than one would think it would warrant

  10. Same. Luckily Eurosport covers a lot of events so I can watch more interesting sports (for me).

  11. The Peacock app has been money well spent for me. Every sport is available to stream live and then as replays. I just don’t watch the sports I’m not interested in.

  12. I’ve watched the dressage portions…it’s really fun! The horses skip and prance to “Another One Bites The Dust!”

  13. I’ve had the Olympics on TV 8-16 hours a day…often on multiple screens…

And I don’t think I’ve watched more than 3 hours of non peacock coverage because what NBC shows is just not what I’m interested in.

  14. OP, where are you watching? I’m using Peacock, and tbh I’m pleasantly surprised. Most major sports are covered by extended live sessions, the trick is to browse by discipline , not watch the main channel

  15. That’s diving for me.

Immediate channel change when it’s on. And it’s on almost every day.

  16. People really don’t like the horses? Maybe it’s because I grew up with horse people for parents but I find it entertaining.

  17. Equestrian is fun for exactly one event (for me personally) which is the cross country section of eventing. Watching them go full speed over obstacles, water, etc. around the Palace of Versailles was amazing.

  18. I get it.

I just learned over time that I’m such an Olympic degenerate that I’ll just watch the horsies or golf.

I’m one of the reasons these sports stay in the Olympics 😂

  19. I almost turned off the TV when I saw ‘dressage’ was on, but curiosity got the better of me—I had no idea what it was. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life! Equestrian sports are a lot more fun, especially with a nice glass of wine in hand.

  20. I bought tickets for the golf not thinking much about it and i ended up being quite entertained. I was the first surprised honesly

  21. I’d watch competitive laundry folding in the Olympics. I can’t get enough of international competition

  22. This is how I feel but add in velodrome cycling, soccer, water polo, handball, and beach volleyball.

  23. What are you talking about. Golf is interesting! Especially when two people are tied and the only way to break that tie is a putt.

  24. My country only has 4 channels that stream Olympics and sometimes 2 of them broadcast Golf only. Give me the damn athletics!
