Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, has stated that the war should take on an “openly extraterritorial nature” after Ukraine’s Armed Forces’ attack on Kursk Oblast. He has also threatened “retaliation”, adding that the Russian government will only stop when it deems it necessary.

“The reasons and objectives of the Ukronazi operation in Kursk Oblast have been detailed and objectively analysed. A serious lesson must be learned from what happened and what Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the Russian General Staff, promised to the supreme commander must be fulfilled – to mercilessly defeat and destroy the enemy.

The special military operation should take on an openly extraterritorial nature from this moment on. This is no longer just an operation to reclaim our official territories and punish the Nazis. It is possible and necessary to advance on the lands of the currently existing Ukraine. To Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv. To Kyiv and beyond”, he added.

Medvedev claimed that Ukraine’s actions in Kursk Oblast should “remove any taboos” on the topic of Russian occupation of Ukrainian territories and that it “can and should be talked about openly, without shame and diplomatic courtesy”.

He also issued threats to Ukraine and its partners in his typically aggressive manner. “Let everyone understand this, including the English bastards: we will stop only when we deem it acceptable and advantageous for ourselves,” Medvedev emphasised.

Experts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), having analysed the data collected, have confirmed the advance of Ukrainian troops up to 10 kilometres deep into Russia’s Kursk Oblast. It is noted in the review that geolocation footage released on 6 and 7 August shows that Ukrainian armoured vehicles have supposedly moved into position along the 38K-030 motorway, approximately 10 kilometres from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

The scale and location of the Ukrainian advance in Kursk Oblast confirmed so far indicate that the Ukrainian troops have broken through at least two Russian defence lines and a stronghold. “The Kremlin’s response to Ukrainian offensive activities in Kursk Oblast has so far been contradictory, as Russian officials are attempting to balance presenting the effort as a notable Ukrainian escalation with avoiding overstating its potential implications and risking domestic discontent”, ISW said.http://youtube.com/kanal13az/join – click here and support Kanal13 monthly for distributing more videos and independent journalism

  17. What we have seen in these 3 days of the AFU invasion of Russian territory is that for 3 days they shot civilians, they simply drove along the streets and shot at houses with people inside. This is a war crime.

    As soon as the Russian forces arrived there, the AFU began to run back to the border in a hurry.
