Visited Henrhyd Falls (The Dark Knight Rises Batcave) yesterday. Any other awesome movie locations in the UK?

  1. They filmed a chase scene from Frost with David Jason in my Uncle in Laws back garden. He got a New Patio and back door out of it. (not exactly a movie, but close to St Johns square where hey filmed some more of the episode)

  2. From the same film (or series)… Stansted airport is used for Gotham’s airport.

Bits of Robin Hood king of thieves were filmed in the peaks.

Honestly, we’ve got loads dotted around the place.

  3. Puzzle wood in Forest of Dean. Lots filmed there and a cool visit even without the movie links.

  4. Charlestown Harbour down in Cornwall – Used in The Eagle Has Landed, Alice In Wonderland and a stack of others

  5. Daniel Craig gets kicked out of the car at Gillette Corner in Layer Cake, and another shot shows legendary kebab shop Jenny’s on Brentford high street. Their doner wraps are fucking sick.

  6. Carnforth railway station was the setting for some of the iconic scenes in ‘Brief Encounter’ and now contains a museum dedicated to the film, to David Lean and the history of the station.
