LETS GOOOOO! Growing up as a little girl in the 90s/2000s, players like Mia Hamm, Kristine Lily, Brandi Chastain, etc were my idols and huge influences on my childhood. I’m so glad the legacy continues for all future little girls and boys! 🏅
Soccer casual here, why do they not stop the clock during the game instead of adding extra time, it seems like adding the extra time at the end wholly benefits the team who is down?

It’s funny how things work, before the Olympics started everyone would be more than happy if Brasil got silver, now that it actually happened we (including the players) feel disappointed that they couldn’t win it all. It is what it is. Anyways, congrats to the U.S, Brasil and Germany for the medals.

Congrats to the USA. It’s a very deserved win. Also very proud of our brazilian girls, they fought hard the whole way to bring this medal home for the country and for Marta. Great game to watch!
(Hope the brazilian male players learn something from these ladies about being proud to represent their country)
And let me guess. No one believed in them and it was such an uphill climb the whole way but they overcame all obstacles and won the American way.

The game got pretty dirty near the end! Lots of aggressive tripping and knocking each other over.
The goalie was real MVP! She stopped like 5 consecutive goals within a few minutes!
