I’m annoyed I had this spoiled for me before I could watch it but I’m so glad she’s won. She’s phenomenal and this is an amazing achievement. It’s going to be so long before we see any other runner win the 5K/10K/marathon at the olympics

I was surprised about the bodycheck she received shortly before the finish, if that were up to me, I would disqualify Nr. 2 from the race.. That could’ve ended in a fall and injury, fuck her!
Her talent over such vastly different distances is unfathomable. What a finish!
How did they set olympic records on such a hard course??

She’s now has to be on the list of the twenty greatest athletes in any sport ever of all time.
Realize that at this Olympics, she meddled in the ten thousand meters, the five thousand meters, and she won the marathon. To even complete these three races at one Olympics, let alone medal in them, is an unbelievable feat.
It occurs to me that if you’re not a track nerd like me, you may not realize who this person was already prior to these games. But at the minimum, be aware that at the last Olympics, she won gold in the ten thousand, she won gold in the five thousand, and she was third in the fifteen hundred meters.
No-one, male or female, has ever won 3 medals in long distance running in the Olympics.
She’s now done it twice.
EDIT: i guess Nurmi did before the modern era…in 1924….100 years ago
She’s an icon, a legend and she is the moment, like come on now. Amazingly done Hassan!
