    External causes of death include accidents, intoxications (incl. overdose), homicide, suicide, other violence, etc.

    Being a young man (under 35) in Russia (before the Ukraine war) was safer than being a young man in the US.

    It is also safer to be a woman in Russia at any age than to be a woman in the US
