Well we complained the US women’s basketball games were boring blowouts and both teams listened.
Holy hell the skill gap between the men’s gold medal game yesterday and….whatever that was.
What a phenomenal game. This is what everyone wants to see in a final. The French team deserves a lot of credit here.
I didn’t feel bad for France in the men’s game yesterday because that was just Steph curry brilliance. But this was just a sad ending for France. Gabby was so close to taking it to overtime
such a mix of emotions. gutted for the French player when she mouthed “it’s 2” to her teammates. she was inches away from bringing it to overtime.
but at the same time, filled with relief and pride for our women’s basketball team, who still haven’t lost a game in 30 years. what a streak. something to be proud of, regardless of some very sloppy play in this game.
this game is a perfect example of other countries upping their game and giving us a run for our money at one of our favorite sports. as a fan of the game, it’s awesome to see.
well done to both French teams & (sincerely) congrats on the silver medals. well deserved.
