  1. They will claim this is a Ukrainian strike bla bla bla. It’s a shame more of them didn’t continue digging in Chernobyl!

  2. They wanna start a fire on a nuclear plant maybe the AFU should return the favor in Kursk

  3. Last June right before Ukraine’s offensive started, Russians panicked and bombed the nearby dam. Intel later stated that they likely only meant to scare the Ukrainians, and it ended up in a complete catastrophe.

This could be the start of another.

  4. Have the Russians learned nothing from Chernobyl? If they cause a fallout, then Russia will be affected too.

  5. Edit: They are just burning something in a cooling tower there is nothing radioactive there, just to create panic

  6. China and India will *have* to respond now. Neither of their geopolitical contexts can afford to have a precedent be set for nuclear warfare.

  7. Thats a cooling tower and not an reactor building. Does not matter too much if that thing collapses.

  8. Pardon my ignorance but is this in internationally recognized ukraine or the orcs claim of ukraine?

  9. That’s odd, I thought the Russian military had already organized a tire fire in response to the invasion. Seems they weren’t happy with just a metaphorical one.

  10. If something happens to This NPP Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria will be affected. I wonder how will they react to this. I am not even mentioning Rostov-on-Don, because Putin never cared about Russian citizen, he only cares about his thug friends.

  11. ruzzians will cause nuclear disaster in one or another way, arm Ukrainians more and quicker please.

  12. Fire in a cooling tower. That takes a lot of effort. Lots of black tire smoke to frighten people and draw attention from Kursk.

  13. To be expected, they are afraid of their lives that Ukraine will capture the russian plant and they will have to give up there station at that nuclear plant, The horrible thing is the Russians have the place rigged to blow from all reports iv heard.

  14. Ukraine must be in sight of the Kursk NPP and Russia is desperately sending a message to the West. Hopefully, Ukraine can take the KNPP, shut it down, and cause enough damage to the non-reactor components to take it off-line for a couple of years.

  15. This seems to me to be a scare-tactic. The fire clearly is inside one of the cooling towers. Now I could be very much wrong seeing that I am no nuclear scientist, but for all I know there should be literally nothing in that spot inside the tower that could burn. (These are basically a large tube of concrete where water is cooling down…so not exactly flamable)
This black smoke looks like burning tires or oil or some other long chained hydrocarbon.
Basically seems like Russians would like us to think that something very dangerous is happening there.

PS: even if something has really gone wrong at the cooling towers, these are more than 1km away from the next reactor block, which have been in cold shutdown for more than a year now

  16. Imagine failing so hard at warfare that this is all you can come up with to counter an invasion is this

  17. Pro-Russian idiots are claiming that zelensky shelled it and now it is on fire. What would even burn there? Water steel and concrete?

  18. According to news sites posting this. They claim to have been told by local police that they are burning tires. And that the Russians demed it still safe to use.

Zelenskyy did say there are no radiation spikes as of now

  19. Ukraine should commandeer the Kursk nuclear power plant and incorporate it into Ukrainian territory. Russia can suck a bag of dicks.

  20. How can you be so funking sick in the head that you intentionally cause a catastrophe at a nuclear power plant again just because you are loosing a war you started by yourself.

Russia and their people will suffer for hundreds of years ahead for what they are doing now…

  21. # Radiation levels remain normal. A local Nikopol official stated that automobile tires were set ablaze in the cooling towers, advising residents to stay calm.

  22. My take is they’re preemptively trashing the place by messing up non-critical systems so if Kursk NPP is taken and traded for, Ukraine gets a non-operational plant that would require millions to rebuild and recertification with international atomic agencies. It’s a low play because they’re aware the AFU wouldn’t reciprocate said move due to their influence by the west and a society that, unlike theirs, has moral values and common decency.

  23. They are losing they are going to leave a natural disaster for Europe and blame everyone else for it. Remember my words

  24. We know Russia doesn’t care about ruining the environment They would rather blow up a nuclear power power plant than peacefully withdraw
This alone should prompt nato allies to step in and stop the Russians. It’s not like Russia has any defense against a fully equipped military
