It was so nice for Greek π₯Ή I wanted too to start cry bc of this
I had goosebumps watching the ceremony. Also, I’ve learned quite some interesting things about the π¬π· culture thousands of years back
Itβs absolutely amazing that after 2800 years, the Olympics are still being held.
A tribute that is due and that unfortunately has not been seen often, but should be a constant of olympics games. The Greek contribution to world culture is invaluable and transcends the games we should remember this more often.
i do’nt know Greece has golden cockroches
if they could see what the games became they would be in absolute awe
It would have been nicer if they had used an ancient Greek flag (if they had such a thing) rather than a modern state flag. Itβs a bit like representing Julius Caesar with an Italian flag.
Well, at least in 4 years we can trust the US to make it all about themselvesβ¦
Can someone explain what the homage to Greece was?
That was definitely an amazing show !
Greece deserves all of it!! Fantastic country and that did an amazing contribution to our civilization.
Also Greek
This was a W
Your anthem was beautiful to hear!
I mean we are reminded that Thomas Bach is a 1976 fencing Olympic champion everywhere he goes, it’s only fair to remind the world that you guys invented the thing 2800 years ago.
My broadcast cut to ads at this part! That’s incredible. I think this is the first time that aside from mentions in speeches, that the Greek contribution has been so explicitly central in a closing ceremony. Be happy!
Is that from assassins creed?
France is always fascinated by Greece, You are our inspiration and we will always love Greece β€οΈ

I’m crying too, and I’m not even Greek. Beautiful!
Youβre welcome. Have you seen our new fighter jets for sale ? We have some submarines too. Need any high speed train ?
Thank YOU for the Olympics as a concept.
My dad is a Greek immigrant and I connect strongly with my heritage. This had me feeling all the emotions!
See yβall in 2028
This moment in the ceremonies was epic. France did an absolutely epic job at both opening and closing ceremonies
Ezio Auditore, an astronaut, and a golden mutant fly
Greece deserved that π₯
Looks to me like like they had to emphasise something ^^
