  1. LA has such a distinctive vibe, their little piece was fucking awesome.

I’m ready for all the lowrider, chronic and hollywood shit.

  2. Okay there were massive sand-sculpted dogs with long braids. Do we think that’s just a Snoop Dog thing, or is that gonna be our mascot?

  3. Wasn’t the Olympics just in LA? In 1984? That was only….

    Oh crap, I’m old!

  4. Just for the record, this was filmed in Long Beach NOT Venice Beach as Mike Turico said on television.

  5. LA definitely bringing Hollywood celebrities, musicians, the scenery (Hollywood sign, beaches). I expect restaurants to be booming with business from the influx of tourists. Definitely going to try to check out some events since it’s in my city. LA has one of the best diverse food choices that will cater to the crowd.

  6. Paris in 2024 and LA in 2028.

And the people of Boston say thanks for dealing with something the majority of people didn’t want here in the first place 😂

  7. I wish they would introduce football and not flag football,
and play that at SoFI instead of swimming. I feel like swimming will not take full advantage of that stadium.

  8. I believe LA can definitely put on spectacular show. I just hope they don’t ruin it by having too much corporate sponsorship.

  9. I feel like LA is going to be extremely lackluster. The city doesn’t have anything going for it in terms of rich history like Europe and there’s so many other cities or regions I’d rather have represented. Can’t wait for all the annoying celebrities too.

  10. Just give Tool the keys for opening and closing ceremony. Guaranteed that shit would be epic.

  11. Ice cold take, but I have a SLIGHT feeling that LA 2028 will have the best musical performances in Olympics history.

  12. Lol, fake palm trees and hidden homeless… the most unrealistic representation of L.A. I’ve ever seen.

  13. Having the Olympics in cities that don’t have to build the venues specifically for the event, subsequently being left to rot afterwards, is a great trend.

  14. That was pretty good. Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dre and Snoop… that’s a big deal.

  15. It was one of the best closing ceremonies I have ever watched. In fact, I think it actually may have been the best handoff ever. Can’t wait for LA 2028!!!!
